Ccw Mill pain. - 06-30-2004, 05:59 PM

Allright, i just started windmills, and i go CCW, left hand in gut, right hand out.

My legs are spread apart, and i lean up, whip my left leg under, and roll onto my left shoulder, i end up on my back and get close to a baby freeze again.

The one thing thats makin me mad is that each time i roll on my left shoulder, it hurts... and tips???

its not about the left leg, its about the collapse and making sure ur right leg is in the air. Im pretty sure you dont have the collapse down and thats what its not working. Just keep practicing your collapse and you'll get it soon.

Obviously not, thats what i thought too, but your collapse is not right. work on getting from handglide to shoulder. Over and over. youll get it.

Look i had the saem problem and i could collapse too... I heard from a expert that you just get used to it and get a calice for your shoulder, and then it will never hurt again (Unless you slam it against a brick).

that happens to everyone, eventually it goes away. anyways if your getting a huge bruise each time then your probably staying too long on your shoulders, it should only be like maybe 1/3 of a second on your shoulder VERY quick. roll dont slam, you probably dont have the collapse correctly if you are slamming.

Ya i kept bruising about that much.. its swollen about an inch in the center right?

Ya wait for it to heal completely. then windmills till it happens again... rinse and repeat.

It usually takes about 2-3 times doing it this way. It usually heals in a week in my body so do it every friday if you heal as fast as me.

i was collapsing wrong but i ended up landing on my lower back over and over again... i guess some people bruise their shoulders but i bruised my lower back by my hip... this little bone that i didn't know existed, lol. i, however, never bruised my shoulder. thank god i've learned how to collapse right. i couldn't practice more than like 5-10 times a day when i was collapsing wrong
