Back sore - 12-15-2003, 09:52 PM

I have been trying to learn windmills. Once I collapse and roll on my upper back, my lower right back muscle(just a little above the hips) started hurting. I think it's sore. Any way to make it no sore anymore? Also should I continue practicing windmill with a sore muscle or should I wait till the sore mucscle goes?

ya u should wait like 3-5 days for it to stop hurtin. That's what happened to me when i was learnin millz, i kept like bangin my hip on the ground.
Sum tips are: try not to just drop yourself, wait till ur almost all the way on ur side to put ur self down. Also right after ur initial kick, the first one, u have to try ur hardest to kick it kinda like diagnally up, so u can get som air kinda, then u have to, really fast, twist urself and kick ur other foot under.
That's what my problem was mostly. So, dont just think ur initial kick wil do the whole thing for u, and also remember to twist ur upper body RILLY fast to get to the next stab.. Peace.

I don't know why I never kick my right leg (I go cw)under when I rised my left leg diagonally up. Do I kick right leg under right b4 I collapse or right after my initial kick? Since I am laying off windmills for now, I am gonna work on turtles.

well, the time that u collapse, the moment that ur right shoulder touches the ground, ur foot should be at the same angle as ur shoulders are. Just practice the initial kick until u can get it down pretty good. Make sure u can do a couple backspins with that initial kick also. Once u got that down, start trying continuous millz.
