right leg trouble - 12-15-2003, 07:18 PM

ok...I looked for a thread that I saw about this, but I couldnt find it so here goes...sorry I dont have a clip...

When I do mills(ccw) my legs are spread WIDE. When I'm turin onto my stomach my right leg always skims the ground...I can feel it swinging down in an arc and buildin momentum, but I cant keep it off the ground...I can link like this, but its hard to do...and I know I'm doin something wrong...help is appreciated, and if you need a reference watch a clip of anyone doin ccw mills and watch how their right leg is off the ground while they go from their back to their stomach.

lay on the floor (not moving) and put your rite leg off the ground. remember this position when your going. (this might not help, but it'll be funny if someone sees you doing it)

When doing ur kick into the windmill, u have to swing it around, then **REALLY HARD* diagnolly up. All you need is that one kick (several if doing continuous) to get a good start on windmillz. Also you have to be extremely quick when turnin to ur front side. If u swung ur first kick hard enough u would get sum air and then u could easily kick ur right leg underneath.

i guess u need to do that mill faster, also help yoself wit yo rite arm befo goin into the collapse position again (and at the same u need to elevate yo left leg so u get to the collapse position comfortably) yup!

youre doin a lot better now...

but still u need to learn how to spin on one spot cause ure movin a lot
u need to torque yo hips to do this n try turnin harder...

thank you theb..yes i still need to practice..not to brag but i'm learning it quite fast and i'm just happy..neways ur right i have to stay in one place more and umm i guess i have to use my upper body as much as possible to turn right?? i can comfortably do 3 rotations anytime i want now..

good job spikey. Ur gettin lot of improvement.

Just try to stay in the same place.
1 way to not move around a lot is to stab lower in ur abb area. Cause when you stab higher in ur upper chest it becomes ur turning point: the axis u kno. Ur prone to moving around
By stabbing in ur more middle areas, ur abs, ull be in more of a circle cause ur abs are like kinda your middle point of ur body.
