i would say it takes longer to learn flares...i don't have them yet...and i can do mills, but its all personal. and dont start kung fu(old school). it might seem easier and it might feel like your getting more momentum, but it probably looks like shiat and your form probably sucks...it took me about a month to learn handglide well...after learning to link the other way...handglides better

Vin Diesel and the Internet - relation? I THINK SO

Vin Diesel invented the internet while trying to steal cable TV.

Contrary to popular belief, it was in fact Vin Diesel who invented the internet. Al Gore stole the designs when Vin fell asleep at his keyboard.

Well,, I can do it the "old school" way and get lots of momentum after the first swing, but it takes a huuge swing, and I'm usually too lazy to invest that much energy. I'd just stick with handglide position. The mechanic of handglide position are more complex, but it's worth it once you learn how to do it.

flares usually take a lot more practice, time, and effort than mills. they're a lot harder.

once you learn to mill you should be able to start them from your back (old school)...but you'll realize that there's hardly any reason to do that when you can combo your mills from so many other positions and make it that much easier.
