Newb Windmill help - 12-10-2003, 05:36 PM

I've been practicin windmills for about two weeks... and reviewed windmills clips like crazy and done my homework, at least I think i got the right idea

I've been starting windmills from the handglide position, however I don't get much past that I'm spinning in the handglide position to my left on my right hand, then kicking my right leg hard under my left legs and rotating my left leg over tryin to roll over my left arm and collapse onto my shoulder and high part of my back-- at this point I kinda do a flop thing and fall to the ground

I'm having some trouble with the momentum of kicking
but more the position of my legs in the beginning and during the collapsing stage....

How high should my legs be? I've watched demos and every1 seems to be placing them decently high? should my head be touching the ground in the handglide position... I do this to help me get my legs into the air, but I don't see anyone else doing this


Do I have the right picture, or am i'm I saucin it completely

Please anyone help? You can post clips too

ok yo!

1st of all yo left foot needs to be as high as posible cause the higher u lift it the higher u roll on yo bak, yo rite legs doesnt need to be high but it needs to be kicked hard

also remember that the collapse goes from hand to fore arm to shoulder to back

heres a clip of me for u to get the picture of how to collapse notice that then rite leg is kicked 1st in a circular motion then i lift ma left leg high...(woo this clip has been watched a lot around here its a bit old but since its the only one i got on hand )

he's right.the high low part is very impt.or else u will not collapse properly and get enuff momentum.pz

hey guys I've been trying different ways other than the forementioned one and I've decided that being stabbed with my left hand and kicking my left under my right is the easiest, however I can kick it under and start the rotation and I collapse onto the back of the high end of my left shoulder and then i loose all my momentum and just kinda spin to a stop any tips on what I'm doing wrong?

I've taken your advice and tried to spin using my right hand, however I still have the same problem basically when i try to collapse and the period after that when my legs whip around i just kind of fall out of the air... any other ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

my digital camera suck ass big time i ma give it back!!! any suggestion for a good digi cam with a reasonable price???

Hey you all.. i need some advice.... i start the windmill from the handglide position but when i collapse i always hurt my hip thats bad what´s my problem??.. my legs are spread...so i dunno what it can be
