im do martial arts tricks...not a martial arts guy tho haha i start out flat on my back lookin up. i basically do a "spinning star kick" (a shaolin method of getting up, like a kipup but a lot cooler lookin) i turn my torso to the left, kick that way with my right leg, then up around toward my head in an arc, and at this point my left leg follows my right, goin up. i then rotate my torso to the right too..my right forearm is by my side, stickin to the ground. i am now "facing" the ground (this is now similar to the regular windmill) i flip and turn over again and this is where i screw up...my head is now at where my feet started and my feet crash to the ground...where i crash is like around the point right after u start the mill regular, while facing down...

hard to describe...do u get the idea? pleez help! haha thanks

I get the idea. Don't do it. Do you see any martial artists do windmills from that position? It's because it was only made to get you back onto your feet, and to do continuous mills in that fashion, you would need a hella strong starting kick. Learn mills from handglide position, it will get you used to the movement. and PRACTICE.

you hitting your feet on floor because you are closing you legs, not getting momentum or bending you legs

Yea i got tips. Don't do them, and I'm a horrible example. bboy_macro, you didn't really do it.. You kinda just did one bad one, then you stopped. If you want more momentum, take off your shoes. It's always better unless you end up going too fast.

Learn it from the handglide first, it makes it a lot easier.

Then practice. Doing 1 from your back is easier, but it's harder to do multiple ones. In the long run, you'd be better off with the handglide position.
