Hand pain every time. - 09-13-2003, 06:43 AM

Hi. I don't break as often as I pop really, but I started breaking a few years back and it's been so off and on that I am only now just getting windmills down well. Anyways... I do my mills CW and so just before I roll onto my first shoulder-- my right one-- my right hand is kind of wedged between my shoulder and the ground. I do non- stabbings, by the way. It always kind of hurts when I do this, but after doing them today the inside of my hand swelled up tough around the first pinky knuckle. I've never really heard of this happening to anyone, but if anyone knows what the hell is going on and how I can adjust my technique to fix this problem I would really like the help. Thanks in advance and I hope I explained the situation well enough.

One more thing, though-- I do remember that the harder I twist my upper body the less weight I actually have to put on my hands, and I can do no-handed mills real easily on my wrestling mat, but I don't always want to go super fast and although the hand pain is a problem, I also don't want to have any flaws in my technique. Peace.

I live pretty close to Seattle. Thanks for the advice, bro. Wrist strength shouldn't be a problem for me, and I did start with stabbing mills but I didn't stay with them for that long because I never liked them. They went all over the damn place and looked ugly when I did them. I think that since I can already do non-stabs that if I just keep doing these they will improve, which only leaves me with one more question. What do you mean by "keep your hands tight and straight when you turn?"
