whats a coindrop? - 09-07-2003, 01:35 AM

can someone post a coindrop video cause i have no idea what it is

Every corner, every city
There's a place where life's a little easy
Little Hennessy, laid back and cool
Every hour, cause it's all good
Leave all the stress from the world outside
Every wrong done will be alright Nothin but peace and love
And street passion, every ghetto needs a thug mansion

Yah ur right but it can also be a drop from standing position to a windmill or a backspin.

It's when you go into windmills from standing, but you also do basically the same thing when you do mills from flares or 90's or airflares.

Thumbs up how to chino. - 11-04-2003, 03:10 PM

This is a spinning drop from standing onto your back. You will see people do it both with hands and without as they start windmills. It takes its name from the breaker named Chino in the film "Beatstreet". You really need to have windmills down for this, or at least the first stage. It is assumed that you are spinning anti-clockwise.

1.Start from standing, legs twice shoulder width apart. Swing your left leg in front of your right.

2.At the same time keep your left arm high and start to reach down towards your right foot with your right.

3.As you do this, powerfully swing your left leg in a circular and upwards motion from the front, to behind your right leg. At the last minute give a little jump with your right leg.

If this is done correctly you should end up in some sort of 1 handed balance at about 45 degrees. This should feel similar to the start of a swipe or 1990. Anyway, repeat the process but this time, as you are in the air, bring you left arm (which was high) downwards and throw it under your body, tucking in your left shoulder.
At this point it will help to keep your legs apart and prepare for windmill mode. You should also push a little with your right hand.

hope this helped.

p:s heres a cool site for breakin' explanations. really cool, check it out.

it could also be a flare to backspin

Drifter...the final project

Breaking can be whatever you want it to be. If you want it
to be the original, structured dance that it was 20 years ago,
then it can be that for you. If you want it to be your own
limitless form of expression, it can be that for you.
The world will never agree on what exactly Breaking is...
and if the world ever does agree, then I guess I won't be Breaking anymore.

Coindrops are technically not "a drop" - since they use the neckmove, these moves go in the windmill forum...
moving.
