Dope guide.
I go CCW like you do and my right leg also bends in each rotation. I somehow can't keep it straight, I've even tried tying a small bottle or tube like objects under my knee to force it but meh... Perhaps you should add a section on foreamr millz and after maybe even variations. Rly good guide, I love the text + video to clearly tell and all the details. Looking forward to reading your swipe guide. And the section about tailbone... If I read this guide before it would save me 4 months or so of huge pain in my tailbone... Like you wrote I had enough power to have continious but my drop wasnt clean so I slammed like an idiot and this one time it just hurt like a bitch and I couldnt sleep on my back for a week... think I even got a video of that somewhere... Anyways, thanks. |

Mandos you should just try that restab drill, you can use your right knee (like i did lol, wasn't supposed to) to get back onto your stab, however try to keep your right leg straight.
It also might help to sweep harder up with your left leg (while you're rolling out of your collapse), as this gives you more clearance |

Here are two links to my mills and if you'd take a few mins to comment them that would be superb.

1) With your right leg, kicking farther out in a circular motion before heading up with that leg. You know the circle people imagine on the ground for when they do flares? pretend that circle is there, and instead of just lifting that right leg up when you do your collapse, kick it along that circle then sweep up. What that does it it gives you tons more momentum; i emphasize this in the video so if you're confused then you should watch it again (I think it's "Collapse - upper body+legs) 2) Another thing I noticed is that your leg bends when gaining your restab, an extremely common error. This is a thing that comes over practice, but let me explain the feeling of doing it properly. When you kick your leg, you feel some slight momentum go up everytime you chamber, and another slight burst of force when you kick that leg out. However, what it should feel like is when you sweep your left leg under your right then UP out of your restab, you should feel your right leg being PULLED. then you keep that leg straight, twist your torso and your hips, and hold your straddle and bring that leg down/behind you. YOu'll still feel the pull. Basically instead of little jolts of upward force, a true windmill feels like your legs are literally dragging the other along that's achieved by holding the farthest straddle you're capable of (therefore it holds tension) and actively thinking about sweeping with your legs. good luck |

Nope, that means too much weight is being tilted forward, try focusing on your back, is it straight or bent? bending your back will make that pointy part of your shoulder hit the ground.
Remember on your collapse, you simply tilt forward as your legs sweep into motion, dont try to tilt forward too much, your legs should be providing sufficient force. |

When you sweep up your legs, you need to lean forward into the move, practice leaning into a baby freeze (turn your head to your left and touch the side of your head on the ground to get used to how much you should tilt forward) practice just holding your freeze and hopping into position with your head on the ground. I do this in the video once or twice in the very beginning; and later i think when I'm showing the sweeps with the legs. of course you'd have to reverse the directions because the video is in CCW so i just looked at the video, you're going to want to really watch 2:57+ of course its CCW so reverse the directions but watch how I tilt forward into the move, practice that slowly, dont be afraid it takes time getting used to Best of luck =) |
