i've been breakin on and of for a few months and i had trouble finding a style. Nothing really felt "right" . I was browsing the forums and i came across popin &locking and just hought that " breakins better" till i started lookin at some of the shit frum like mowicz and poppin rice and other people like phyck(sry if i spelt that wrong) and you guys are amazing. I started to practice alittle and i found it alot more satisfiing. anyways i was lookin at the tutorials and made this little clip so you guys could give me some pointers.

ps keep in mind this is a day of poppin, and i'm not sure if there is any poppin in it.

oh and as for the song , its jsut somthing slow for me to learn on

I can't say I was like that after one day of popping, cuz I didn't learn to glide until like a year later. Haha.

But damn, you look a lot like I do...mainly the hair. Haha.

Lots of work to go man, learn some of the foundational stuff before jumping straight into "dancing." I see you're interested in glides, and you got chest pops some-what...learn to hit your arms in different positions, armwave and bodywave...once you have those basic elements, you can learn to mix 'em up and make it up as you go along...then you can progress to new elements and new levels of creativity...but it all comes with time.

In all honesty, I'm not very good...people get the wrong impression when they first start, they think that there's a level of perfection with popping. Every single popper can improve, learn a new style, mix it into their own, combine, create, achieve. We're both still new, and though we're on our way I suppose, you can find better all around yourself. It may help you to find someone at our level to sort of aspire to, someone who's not way out there, above and beyond...if so, go for it man. Jus shedding some light tho, and sayin' give praise where it's due...I don't deserve any, at least not until I get good. Haha.

Peace.

Check out my first audio freestyle, and second audio.... Drop some feed, I'm still learnin'!

ur pretty good 4 like a day or sumthin cuz I kin say my dog was better than me lol ur glides r kinda weak but that comes alog w/ practise all i kin say is good job and keep it up

I have good memories
from my childhood bitch,
my favorite toy
was my fuckin fire truck bitch,
I used to play with that motherfucker all day long,
until I learned about sex from the Sears catalog
and then I played with my muthafucka all day long
about 10 times a day man, all year long.

alright... saw ur vids...

for the first vid, "newbpopin_new", alright it wasnt really "popping"... it was moves, but that's how everyone started out lol... i started out doing the robot.
took me about a year before i learnt a decent glide.

for your first day... damn your glides are pretty good. take everyone's advice... practise more. and make sure you practise it so much until it becomes a second nature for you, and dont look down on the floor when you're gliding. practise gliding in all directions, because you're currently gliding towards your left. learn to glide to your right too.

the heartbeat is a good start, but you should more importantly learn to hit everywhere else cleanly, especially your arms and your legs.
once you get that down, combined with the heartbeat and the glides, you will open up alot of more new doors to variations.

ok in your second vid, "poppinlock1_new", omg you look alot like M0wicz. just had to say that. lol.

hmm how should i say this? when you hit, dont quickly snap your arm into a different position. hitting is kinda like...
when your arm is already in a certain place, then you hit.
like for example you were hitting up, then down, then up then down, right?
instead of moving your hand so fast to the up position and hit, then on the next beat quickly moving your hand down and hit it,
why dont you just relax a little more, take the time to move your hand up, then wherever your hand is at, just hit on the beat. it will look better.

you also need to practise hitting more so that you will relax your muscles faster for cleaner hits.

other than that it's a very good start overall, work on it more, practise more, watch more videos, read up more tutorials...

you'll just get nothing else but better.

i totally agree on the hitting with psyk and your glides arent bad for 1 day of popping... especially when i compare them to mine, i still cant glide, i think it's time to practice my gliding

heh... looks like you took my advice and tried to relax more especially when hitting.

alright, more to tell you... when gliding, try to isolate your arms / upper body. or at least be aware of what you're doing with your whole upper body and control it.

can you glide on beat? that may help clean your glides up.

your waves need alot more work, you need to isolate your waves alot more, and slow them down... dont rush the wave, take it part by part first then slowly make it smooth.
