not exactly "merge"...
you could call it "layering" or "overlay".

i used various video editing programs..
Adobe Premeire, Sony Vegas (previously known as Sonic Foundry Vegas) and Ulead VideoStudio.

i am, and forever will be a student of the artform known as popping.

So did you film each of those three versions separately on a solid background? Everything's perfect about it, even the shadows in the correct places.

what i did was to look for a good spot...
used a tripod so that the camera would not move,
then mark out where my positions would be.
danced in the 3 different positions once to confirm everything, from movements to shadows to make sure that nothing accidentally "overlaps".

then after that dance once more for the final take.

convert them all out from the DV tape into the PC and then do the editing.

Damn you made a really good vid there and I especially like that u have a choreographic ability rarely seen. You really listen to the music!
I echo what everyone else said in that it is good work but are you also a professional entertainer. I keep forgetting to ask! Coz your avatar...is that u? You look like a magician or something like that?
Impressive stuff!

Rap Attack-Thanks fo the pressie!!

rap_attack: oh no no i'm not a professional entertainer... i would love to be one though! thank you for your compliment on my "choreographic ability", you're making my head swell! hmm, as for my avatar pic, it's just a screencapture of a video of me in a competition last year. i won that competition and that's my "trademark" (should be considered trademark?) Wong Fei Hong pose. few have seen the video, one of them is M0wicz. but i'm not too proud of that performance that's why i didnt share it.

evilspaz: i'm glad that i have spurred an idea in you! work on it haha... i wanna see the results!

Great vid, Psyk! Loved how the three were all in sync and hit at the right point and time. Just in time for Christmas too! Props!

Yeah I would like to see it too! It looks like you are a magician sorta in that avatar shot....Wong Fei Hong pose.....is that Martial arts? Coz I used to do TaeKwonDo.
Really tho I think u have potential. I would really need to see more to know if I would hire you....he he but I am super fussy....everyone can be a professional believe me my first few years getting paid I sucked! They were payin so I didn't say "listen I suck so don't pay me". There is a lot to learn for everyone!

haha...
Wong Fei Hong is this character... a kung fu expert.
he was portrayed by Jet Li many many years ago... it was during the "Golden Age" of Chinese films.

whenever he fought he would have that pose... i always remembered that pose.

haha... i think the only way you could see more of me is to meet up in person... but that wont be possible for a little while because i'm here in Singapore and i'm returning to the army next Sunday.
