no need to be so hateful guys. jeez. Some of it was okay,

just work on dancing with the moves instead of throwing them out there. What everyone should be saying here.

He's not dancing hes just going through the movements, its boring to watch. Hes good but if he isn't on beat its not enjoyable to watch. He actually looked bored. That's all don't take it too personally. I don't mean to hate lol
Sorry bout the hostility, but the thread was turning into more hating than criticism and it was irritating me. No hard feelings bro.

Its not THAT bad at all. You guys are over exaggerating. You guys can be constructive without hating. Like Kaimo.

Thats the kind of shit that discourages the youth from actually wanting to try.

^Mhmm.

I'll just start off by saying the majority rappers today have no intention of supporting hip-hop culture. If you don't support the culture, then you aren't really hip-hop.

What he said.

Yes.. I failed to point out who "he" is...

Some people pointed out the problem.
One thing I disagree with people here on, is ur lil homie IS on beat.
But he is just going through movements. They have no meaning, no purpose, no connection to one another. And even worse they have no connection to the music. And this is not a "style" critique. Meaning im not saying"oh he's not popping." ur lil homie could be doin ballet for all I care. His problem is he doesnt connect with the music and use the music to guide his movements. Everything is forced to try to make it seem like it fits with the music, but you can see just how forced it is.

That to me as a DANCER... is extremely unappealing. It has nothing to do with execution of moves or what the exact moves are. They simply lack substance.

And I really hope you dont look at this as a "hate" post. Because it's not, its blunt honesty. If someone can't dance and they ask me how their dancing is, why should I tip toe around facts?

PS- and just for the OP- ur friend isn't popping.

LOL I meant to include you but I missed that, sorry dt xD
And idk, im an easily discouraged person, came from being bullied since kindergarten, kinda engraved in me but thats my thoughts.

@Invent: You always give good criticism, that I can't seem to argue back on D: lol I get what you're saying, and I didn't mean any disrespect. I agree that he is on beat, but I also agree that his dancing lacks emotion. Ive always noticed how he keeps a straight face while hes dancing. Straight up statue-like.

I should rename the topic to TURFING. Lol.

gotta disagree with you on that one holmes. i watched it 3 times already and he is still not on the clap. the only part i saw on beat was the beginning part, rest of it wasnt remotely on time.

and its cool P0pStyl4h, i got bullied back in the day

Well, for you kids that were "bullied" back in the day, either get used to it or get over it. I mean that in a nice way. Because if you hang around here long enough, you'll have your fair share of flame thrown at you...It happens to everyone here. And two things happen. They either cant take it (examples being poooch, inpulse, slimmy, neilbreezy, and countless others) and they leave, or they fight thru it, stay, and become better for it. I recommend staying.

You don't have to be on the clap to be on beat.

You can skip the clap and be on beat.

PS- look into the subdivisions of the beat. Technically speaking, you can ALWAYS be on beat no matter what because you can argue that someone is on the subdivisions.

Alright, I getchu. And I don't plan on leaving, I learned a lot from you guys since i've joined. I've become a better lyricist, and dancer. Most of the moves I learned and acquired came from watching some of your guy's videos and getting my own style. When I get a camera hopefully for my sweet 16 in a few weeks, then i'll show you guys what I can do xD

@dt: I guess everyone does at some point. xD
@Invent: Idk what subdivisions are, excuse my noobness. But yeah, I'm not always on the clap, sometimes I hit on the snare. Most of the time I just feel the music and I don't focus on what to hit. xD Its becoming ALMOST second nature to hit at the right point now. [Yeah, I started with your hitting tutorial. xD]

Well nig, i was bullied the first day i got into australian school, and yes, at that young age, it is a real situation. I got over it by smacking the dude one. Unfortunately i cant smack people one on bboy.org. haha, and who would take chippa on, hes freakin 2m tall and double my weight.

and to invent: lol, lets argue, i havent argued with you for ages.

30 - 33 seconds in: hes clapping to the clap...that was off-beat
to 47 seconds - tutting parts..what is he hitting to, hes not even pausing in time with the music man, theres no part that continously goes on like that.
to 1 minute - i saw bits of him where he is on beat.
1:27 - that part was on beat, bits of it, the botting part, not the pants pulling
and onwards. i saw the botting (dun dun dun dun DUN) part. Head isos were on time (didnt touch any of the beat, but was on time)

if you are talking about "you can be on time" and still hit the beats, you still need to hit the beats before...go into your concept..and hit the beat after. you cant claim "hit the beats (any beat..not the clap..any part of the song), attempt to hit the beat in parts and claim you were hitting lil bits of the music you didnt show.
Thats like speaking you own made-up language which has no base, and you talking to someone and blaming them for not understanding.

If you think these are something different. Think again.
