Righteo, heres my question for you that will help you understand critiques better:

First 10 seconds: Why did you speed change...no im not asking whats wrong with them, why did you do it in relation to the music.

Second 10 seconds: How do i know which part of the music you are expressing clearly (think of a mass on a string, what i want is the bobbing action of the mass, now you attach sticky tape onto parts of the spring, what happens)

Third 10 seconds: This is kind of like the second: the "naaa naaa" part, what did you do wrong there. What didnt you do there to make the dance more of a dance.

Tell me them answers, and i want you to THINK about it. i dont want some bullshit answer like "i wanna see your videos", thats not gonna make you learn neither is getting an ego-boost over a random bboy telling you its dope as hell.

No ones being elitist and no ones saying don't be encouraging...but also don't tell him his shit was good if its not...lying to people is the worst mistake ever. We care about this dance...and tho it might seem like we are being angry hateful elitist or what not, we're just giving people the best information to better themselves.

Plus, at only 10 months, not to be discouraging but attempting to practice musicality is not a great idea. Dill your foundations and start sitting in the music rather than attempt to 'beat freak'. With feeling you can pick up musicality way better than trying to hit the random crap in songs that everyone does...

man, cool off first. now listen, like every1 said musicality doesn't come all of a sudden. it is not something that you can practise. it is not something that some1 can teach you and you will understand. The first thing you must do is to develop a proper mindset for dancing. 99.9% of the population sees popping as moves and something "kool"... but in truth it's a DANCE. Figure out what DANCING is and then you'll start to understand what chippa, invent, dtdancer and all the ppl here trying to say.
in the mean time, absorb as much knowledge about dancing from the ppl here on bboy.org. LISTEN and LEARN. You'll pick up small pieces here and there and soon enough, those pieces will start to fit together...

dude learning how to dance is the most frustrating part of popping. foundations can be learned by doing drills but dancing... lol is something that comes natural to some ppl while for others, it is a matter of having that sudden inspiration. check out one of the stickies that talk about listening to the music.
