Buz, that does bring up a good question. Up until i met you i never heard of the crystal grass song which to me did not sound like a rock anthem, but it was to you. Not to knock that song cause it's dope. So althought the time song by edwin starr wasn't played during that battle wasn't something you guys danced to back then(which i didn't know) does that mean that you could only play those classic songs from back then. I mean there are alot of songs i have heard that i thought would be great rock songs but were not played back then, can those be incorporated now?? Or do you think we should only use the classic songs that were played by brooklyn dj's throughout the 70's?

WOULD YOU DANCE SALSA TO DISCO DUCK ...

You see Bandit everytime I go to bboy event I bug out when I see them boys breaking to anything they hear them boys would break even to comercials....lol

you see the only song I agree that was put out there in the 80's would be the new re-mix of jelly bean ( the mexican ) anything else would be wack...

but then again I guess you are right to each it's own but when it comes to a contest I would like to hear the dj to play only rock music from the og rock days it's easier to judge and tell who's doing the right thing ...you see bandit if they get into playing any other music than every rocker would look like chris and rob doing more top-rocking than rocking and leaving the jerk move behind..you can tell that rob was trying to throw some yerks but it made it hard for him to add them moves with that beat ......

HEY KING HOW ARE YOU MY BROTHER.....
to answer your question I think that in every rock contest there should be ,
JUST BEGUN , THE SEX MACHINE , SHAFT IN AFRICA , THE MEXICAN , MELTING POT ,
AND LISTEN TO ME ......

these should be standard music when it comes to rock contest and to come back to bandit there are much much to much rock music for anyone to search for any other beats .... I'll tell you this there are atleast four or five hour of rock music if you know your rock music......

OH yeah there's no doubt that there's many songs and beat out there that could be use as rock because of the beat but there's nutin like dancing to an original ..

you play the SEX MACHINE in one room and a song that has a rock beat and he who wants to rock will choose the room that's playing the SEX MACHINE...BELIVE IT !!

BY THE WAY CONGRATULATIONS BANDIT ...... I CAN BELIVE YOU ARE GOING TO BE A DAD......... A LITTLE TOUCH OF ROCK !! LOL....

Although there were some serious Rock songs throughout the 70's, we came along during the late 80's, and on. Here's one of the better Uprock jams bro....

Hola Que Tal mis amigos?

I am out here in Madrid and it is beautiful. I have danced a few times with the bboys out here and they are buggin off the Rock Dance!!! They look at me alittle crazy cause they never seen the non-bboy version but i am answering alot of questions. My spanish is coming along but i got along ways to go.

Thanks for that answer Buz. That was something i have wondered about and in the context of a competition i completely understand why it would be easier to use classics songs. My friend recently went to india and found a indian version of crystal world!!!! you will love it!! i will have him email it to you as soon as i can. May take a minute cause he gots to digitize it!!!

Peace and God bless
