The History Of Rock ! - 05-04-2007, 01:03 AM

During the late late 60's it came to the attention that Rock dancing the percussion parts of body movement , along with Rock songs such as Just Begun ,Shaft In Africa ,Crystal World ,BT E xpress, Rock creek park Rare Earth get ready , Sex Machine and Listen to me were most popular for dancing Rock by youth of the late 60's in brooklyn., and then later through out boroughs around New York City area, independently isolated and repeated these parts of the Rock dance for the purpose of street Gangs and Youth dance life style . The favourite types of music were traditionally the Music from Funk , Rock and Latin songs, often featuringp PERCUSSION !!( The word, "percussion", has evolved from Latin terms: "percussio" (which translates as "to beat, strike" in the musical sense, rather than the violent action), It's where back in 1968 the ROCK dance Relates to ..When as a youth a friend of the family by the name of Raul aka Bareta also good friends with the late Rock dancer Rubberband and Pete connected this Word ( PERCUSSION ) to the dance Rock from the late 60's..
which today we still seek for many many more answers such as how it started ? did breaking come out of rocking ? who dicided to name the most popular move a yerk ? Is the word Yerk / with a y or a j ? who was really the first to dance or create the dance rock ? and the questions keeps piling up as today UP-ROCK VS TOP ROCK is the new bboy move a flavor from the original rockers ?...and the most popular one was brooklyn the first to dance rock !!!

And yes the responds are there and they come in ...In many phrase but as I sit here and listen to all this I smile because never in a million years I would of thought that the dance that I saw in affect during my youth year would inpact so many people today in the year 2000 because during the 70's I was thinking one thing is the year 2000 the end of the world....and today here I am living in the year 2000 and asking now wondering who really created the dance ROCK !!!!

IT IS WHY THE DANCE IS A BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING PART OF MY LIFE THAT EVERYONE IS IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH !!
ASK LIL DAVE FROM LIL DAVE ROCKERS AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE EXPIRIENCE THAT HE ENJOY DURING THE EARLY 70'S ..
ASK BUZ FROM TOUCH OF ROCK AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE EXPIRIENCE THAT I ENJOY DURING THE MID 70'S OF HIS TIME ..
ASK KING ROCK AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE EXPIRIENCE THAT HE ENJOY DURING THE 70'S /80'S OF HIS TIME...

Hey there LX-treme how are you ..ok here's the meaning of the word

"YERK" : something that urges or stimulates into action but not real !

and this is the reason why rockers of yesterday decided to use this name for this move it was because that was the meaning of the word and what happens in this move .. you see everytime that we do a yerk we also pretend that we are stabing , shooting , punching , blocking and also kicking .. but it's very important that when we do create of use these amaginary moves that we complete where is that weapon coming from and where in this weapon been put away ... you see in the history of the out-laws or gangs what ever is that you want to call it there was this thing call an apachie line the apachie line was an element that was used in order to join the gang,, when you were late to a meeting a way of paying your dues and if you ever ran from a rumble or backed up from anyone and especially when you gave up your colours and it was also used when ever you quit the gang...

the apachie line would be form as an alley of members of the gang split up into two lines facing each other waiting for you to walk down that line a line that would taken anyone three seconds to reach to the other side but when there was 25 on one side and twenty five on the other side with sticks whips fist steal toes Mc boots and large rings company by knuckles... it would seem like an hour journey and a month of recovering... but thanks God no knifes or Guns ...

that's is what the rock dance simulate a Battle for your life against an opponent with weapons , fighting and in a huge line...call the apachie line ..

the move the Yerk is what gathers this whole packge up by calling it

"""something that urges or stimulates into action but not real !"""

Listen when I came to this dance call rock I walked in .....in the middle of the dance because according to the peeps that I conversate about
this dance was a dance created back in the early 1960's so the early 1970's was consider the middle of the dancing years.. But I did hunged out with many rockers from the mid 1960's that were still around in the 1970's and spending the time with them gave me the expirience to share what I'm writing today ... The dance rock was a hobby I know that some peep do not like the way I phrase that but I rather phrase it that way than phrasing it as a buisness.. It was what I did infact something that I turned to when I decided that hurting people and fighting for something that I didn't own or even attacking people that I only belive my side and not theres while living my gang was humanity cruelity So I turned to the Rock dance I started to look at it as a new hobby which it turned out to be MY LIVE something that I will never forget it became a HUGE part of me ..

So today when I talk about it ....It's not just me making things up or pulling anyones legs or expecting peeps to appriciate the knowledge that I share with them it is me BUZ FROM TOUCH OF ROCK giving you the real side of this dance that once was a part of me and a memory that I will always treasure and share with my kids and also my grandsons.....
