THE BIRTH OF THE FIRST ROCK DANCE GROUP IN BUSHWICK BROOKLYN" TOUCH OF ROCK

THE BIGGINING:: Hi my name is Buz born in Puerto Rico but raised in Brooklyn N.Y. BUSHWICK AREA, I'm Married w/2 beautiful Kids .... Thinking of the time before my dancing days how I hunged out and spend most of my time up and down with street gangs..and how I managed to choose dancing over street gangs, I would have to say that decisions was the turning point of my life. I ask myself today "what if ?"
~? WHAT IF ?~ I did'nt choose to change my life from gang busting to dancing
where would I be today ...I guess that is the time when the word
"AWEARENESS" comes in handing...QUESTION? Have you ever look and study the
word "AWEARENESS" In my book it means thinking and accepting the consequence
that you are going to face from that decision ! Today I thank the Lord my
Father JESUS and I hope I didn't offend anyone by using His name, for the knowledge he has provided me that today I sit here and write
this letter..and again I go to that same question ~"WHAT IF?"~ I would'nt put my trust in his Faith ,,,,THANK YOU LORD AGAIN AND AGAIN... ROCKING is my story back in the 70"s they called it "ROCK" where we dance in the
street of New York and battle it was what really
took place for rumbling!!! The dance rock was an act of fighting without the
weapons or making contact with each other ..we form an apachie line of 25 dancers in one side of the line and another 25 five dancers on the
other side of the line and they will battle against each other and dance to
about ten songs or what ever the Dj play..and after the battle we would
check hands and admire our moves.... for the most part some of the dancers
would get jelous of others styles because not all the style were the
same...That was what brought out the dance group ,,the dance group competed
in routine and styles that were created by there group....this all took place in Bushwick though I have seen the dance back in Williamsburg ( the south side ) I was in the forth grade going to the school ps.19 the stree right on south 1st and keap street..Than I moved to Bushwick where I continue to be part of the gangs in Bushwick and laying away from the dance call rock where I have first so back in Williamsburg..(south side ) I started to dance back in 70's in the church hall dances and in the parks dances with my sister , we started the first crew by the name of knight breakers while hanging out in this park call Linden park..it was a mix of dancing and breaking night by this time there were no rock crew out there yet but the crew call knight breakers founded by my boy CUS 108 AND BOWL 30 ( sparky )late december we decided to change our name to TOUCH OF ROCK !
there was this other crew by the name of Dynamic spinners who at the time were just a DJ crew and tranformed into a dance crew
Which from that point it was when the crew Dynasty Rockers came about along with the crew Lil dave Rockers and down the road the crew mania thing started !!
