BUT certain techniques take a lot longer than others... to jump from steps to flares is like goin from kiddy pool to scuba diving in the ocean... you're not likely to enjoy hurting yourself... the only way to overcome it is to know that you have other things you can resort to... why waste time diggin for the jackpot when you can accumulate in small amounts? At least you HAVE somethin to work with, even as a noob.
Point as well proven, because at first about 4 months ago, I only wanted to pick up bboying for the mills, flares, and headspins, i thought they really looked cool. But, to later find out that I just enjoyed doing whatever, anything, footwork, tops, freezes etc. So i have learned throught my training that you cant just do it for one move, you can, but I'd perfer not to. I think that learning moves other than the ones you want to learn can impress yourself and you will enjoy doing it. hope it made sense

Just always remember it is not what moves you learn or how well you can dance, you can always learn new moves and improve your technique in dancing, it is what makes you feel great, that's what bboying is, a way to dance that frees your mind, gets you away from the world without a care left in it and makes you feel great!
