One day a little child asked, "Jesus, how much do you love me?"

And he said, "this much," and spread out his arms and died on the cross. . .

The clips posted on this forum are not designed to teach you how to Uprock. They are just for viewing. Learning Uprock will take alot more than short clips. I hope you understand. Peace.

I really dnt get it? if uprock/toprockin is so crucial to newbie BBoys why isnt enough done to help them learn how. I know u cant jus learn it overnight but all the clips ive seen of uprockin seem to be all based around basic steps that have been varied or tweaked, if newbies dont have any knowledge about uprockin or have nobody to help them, then its only natural that they will lose interest in trying.

If there is some real style heads in this forum that care about uprockin remaining within the 'NU' bboy world they should be helping out newbs it wouldnt hurt to post up a clip of a couple of basic steps to start people off.

I myself know im not the best uprocker/toprocker on the planet and would appreciate help from sum bboys that are skilled in that area, the main reason i shy away from uprockin is the fact im not confident enough cus i dont know half the steps, the basic toprock leg crossover wont help me anihalate who im battling, but ive seen simplistic steps that have stoped power heads in their tracks just wish i had that equal balance cus more n more im becoming a power head, cus of lack of knowledge about rockin!

phewwww got alot off my chest ther, i aint tryna be a bitch or nuthin i just think helps needed in this aspect of breakin to keep it alive i know i wanna better myself.

So, Can it be done?
or is it impossible?

:P Peace

I agree - trust me I understand you guys.

We are presently working on getting a tutorial DVD going. Please understand we have alot on all our plates. Also, I myself am revamping the Dynasty site which will have clips added frequently.

Again, I also recommend that cats talk with promoters to get Uprock workshops going. Hands-on is the best way.

Peace

its important to remember that the Uprocking bboys do isn't Uprocking, its B-Rocking, or something i donno, knowing that is the first step to learning Uprocking in my opinion.

Bboying is what you make it.

Listen man - that Zulu Gremlin clip is NOT uprock.
Uprock plays no part in a bboying battle.

As a bboy you don't have to learn to rock, and the chances of you meeting a real rocker in a circle, let alone in a battle, are slim to say the least. There just aren't that many about.
It's been over a year an a half since I learned some uprock basics from Break Easy and King Uprock, and tonight was the FIRST time I've been able to use it against a rocker.

Wilber - don't bother about needing to learn uprock to help your bboying - don't bother with the wack attempt that almost everyone in the UK refers to as rocking - and please don't throw those silly little drops into your toprock either - it doesn't add anything to it.

If you actually want to learn to uprock for real, then the best thing you can do is to save up and to go to Brooklyn. PJay, King Uprock and Break Easy are some serisouly cool guys and if you go out there with the right attitude to learn - you'll learn not only the basics of rocking (more the longer you can stay) but also have a brand new light shed on the history of bboying and see thigns for what they are.

Hope that helps some.

Peace.

A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.

There's just no point.

Watashi - there's not much to tell.
It's a guy called Pepito, he's from Australia and is living in Liverpool now. He came to Manchester to do a show and jam with us and we got to rocking at the end of the show.
He won, I lost and realised a lot of things I need to learn/improve to consider myself a rocker, right now I remain a student.

He's a top guy, a dope bboy, and not too shabby at rocking considering he never went to brooklyn (he learned from someone who did)

Hey i've been reading these forums for a while, and just poppin in to say thanks for posting that vid, its a start at least..

I'm from Australia and very new to rocking so all these sorts of vids are a bonus, even if their not 'politacally' correct uprock.

I'm starting to grasp the differences between the various styles and conflicts between uprocking/b-rocking, but its difficult without videos or instructors.

and to those experienced like PJAY, thanks for ur advice and wisdom, even tho us newbies get alot of things wrong/mixed up, we're thankful for ur help and commitment.

peace

Post like yours mean alot... thanks.

I don't want cats to feel like "us experienced" are hating on the newbies. We are not. It's just like bad medicine sometimes. You don't want to swallow it but it will make you better. I personally just want cats to learn the truth and the right way from the jump.

Peace to all.
