i just wanted to point out that alot of promoters out there do not support uprock or uprockers that are active in the community. they will fly out the same poeple over and over but wont try to be innovative and mix things up by shedding some light on a dance that basicly breaking came out of.

its not like if you were to fly out someone like myself or king uprock, pjay or whoever, that we arent gonna dance! everytime i go to an event now i end up dancing every night, doing a panel, and or a demo. and also usually help out with the activites such as judging or whatever.

it seems like alot of poeple nowa days want to learn about uprock so lets give it to them. im always gonna represent anyways wether i get paid or not! since ive never gotten paid anyways.

Yes, as I've said on previous threads. If promoters are seriously down with "Hip Hop" they should be willing to fly-out Rockers, same as they do with Bboys etc, knowing that there are thirsty cats in their area.

i think its becuz of the media these days......they dont see the true side of bboying....they call it "breakdancing"....and they only like the eye candy...which is power moves...but nothing can top style u know??...if one bboy/bgirl has siiick style moves....and another bboy/bgirl has some messy mills or 90's...the bboy/bgirl with the style wins right?....but will the media listen to us....NO!..cuz they're ignorant

Earliozz, lots of the time its not the media who throw Jams, i may not have cable or whatever, but you wouldn't see a Bboy battle on TV as you would a Rodeo or BMxing or stuff like that. they just get corporations to support such things so they have more money to work with.

It's cause, most people/promoters/bboys/dancers don't know what Rocking/Uprocking is. I don't think most bboy promoters appreciate or understand the dance well enough to justify spending $500 dollars to fly out real Rockers. So i think until the people/bboys demand it, it won't happen. But i think as the knowledge spreads, and if you guys continue to educate and demonstrate, more dancers will become interested and it will eventually happen. I think you already know this, but you are just trying to bring awareness about the lack of respect for rocking in the current bboy scene. Maybe i am wrong. But i know i will personally encourage the promoters i know to fly rockers out.
