I made a post in the Beginner's Forum, and I was pointed here.

I'm trying to get into Uprock (slowly, though). I'm alright with upper body type movements, but I can't do any real steps or spins. I usually pick up most of my moves by watching others and copying, but I don't even know where to start when it comes to steps.

Basically, is there any way I can learn maybe two or three basic steps/spin techniques on my own? I don't have any friends who Uprock, so it's pretty up to myself to learn.

Actually you won't find anyone you know who can Uprock... unless they were an old NYC, preferably a Brooklyn head that moved to your area and still dances. There are only few true Rockers active and who rep at jams frequently.

I suggest you purchase "Uprockers Revenge" by King Uprock. Email him at kinguprock@yahoo.com. He's headed for France tommorrow... so don't expect a reply until after Monday 26th.
