Two: The Jerk Step, ( Not the Bboy lunge, shuffle, shuffle, drop move either - not the fake Uprock displayed in "Beat Street". )

i know this move or whatever i can name it cant be called uprock, but do u think its ok if bboys use it in battles ? cuz in every battle you look, you can see this ( for example www.style2ouf.com ) a lot of bboys mix their toprock with the lunge, shuffle, shuffle, drop. in my opinion its pretty dope to see if its executed with style.

your opinion on this ?

This is not my opinion... this is factual: It's wack and has no style. Plus it confuses the ignorant masses into thinking; one, that it is Uprocking and two, that it's okay to mix "Uprock" in a Bboy battle. I don't care who or what Crew does it - it's wack. Sorry but that's that.

I don't mean to come across offensive - I'm just here to excercise the demons. Instead of holding-on to that watered-down fake Jerk Step... why don't cats make it their goal to get their Uprock style right. Just as they would if their 6-step needed work???

BTW, they're two cool young-cats from Slovenia here in NYC. They've been at our practices for an entire month and have seen the real-deal in action. Today is their last day as a matter of fact, they now see Uprock in a different light.

and loadz more ! btw, like said, i understand what ure saying (comparison to the 6 step) but the 6 step has a guide and everyone follows it.. theres probably ALOT of people who wish to learn the real uprock but they cant (not everyone lives / can go to america)

The clip I posted is a Toprocking clip, with few burns and a "bboy jerk". It was something like a year ago. I didn't know much about Uprocking. I spent a whole month in Brooklyn and now, thanks to Pjay,King Uprock, Break Easy... I see the difference.But i still have to learn.
I'm from France, and i can tell u that NOBODY here knows how to Uprock! All the clips u'll see on style2ouf are wack! french bboys have a wack Toprock and don't know s*** about Uprock.They don't give a damn about foundations and history... that sux!
Thats all i had to say.

i understand what u r saying but i just want to say that if a bboy DOES care about foundations and uprock, he cant learn the real Uprock unless if he goes to brooklyn.. i think that sux, cuz not everyone has that chance

so basicly i think u cant blame one if he does the whack bboy thing, because everywhere he looked for an uprock clip, or explanation he only found the shuffle, shuffle drop - so he thinks this is Uprock. im not saying if u blame him, and he knows that fact but doesent give a shit about it.

you know what i mean ? for example in style2ouf it says that this page will try to represent bboying in france blah blah blah.. so if a guy sees that uprock even there (where you see better bboys) he`ll think thats uprock and do it for sure.

i am now very interested in the real Uprock but all i could find was the history and what is uprock but no real guides :| only 1 where its really dark and u cant see shit. oh and that zulu gremlin guide i mentioned before but thats the shuffle and drop.

oh and btw, i believe u on what ur saying about bboying in france, but i find alot of vids on style2ouf dope ^^

Not only is Wary better but he picked-up so much an added to his already own dope style, that King Uprock made him a Dynasty Rockers recruit.

Prior to that, Wary was performing Uprock wrong and he knows that, even though he was an accomplished Bboy. He made it his business to get in contact with me and start learning via the internet with short clips. Then he purchased "Uprockers Revenge" and that helped him further. He finally took the grand plunge and came to BK and the rest is history.

You're right Speeed... and I have said that before that it's not the majorities fault that they don't know true Uprock. One main reason is that they see popular Bboys and even pioneers perform Uprock the wrong way. So why would they think that that style is wack or wrong. This is one of the main reasons I'm on the net taking my time to spread the truth.

I understand your gripe. Not everyone can come to Brooklyn and learn from real Uprockers - that is a big stumbling block. But I'm making it my business to supply this site with good footage and info, as well as, King Uprock is working on a tutorial DVD. This is as best as it gets right now. Here's another great idea.. when it come to cats in Europe or elswhere. Tell these promoters TO FLY US OUT TO THEIR EVENTS!!! If they are seriously down with Hip Hop, then this shouldn't be a problem.

Wary - PJay was telling me about you a while back. Props on making Dynasty.

I was in BK in early 2004 and learned a lot from King Uprock and Break Easy. I just wish I'd been able to spend longer out there learning.
I've not had as much chance to practice at home, and it's not easy being the only rocker(in the making) in the city. I know there's a couple over in Newcastle (who also went to BK to learn) but that's about it as far as I know.

I'll be back out again sometime and can't wait to learn more.

Where in France are you?
I travel in Europe sometimes and visit France quite a bit, it would be really good to be able to hook up with another Rocker and see what's up.

Information is good but there seems to be nothing on the difference between "bboy burns" ,"bboy jerks" and the uprocking versions It seems like people do know a few examples.(eg.pjays comment in my thread about the "dick-slam burner"(don't people do this in uprock too?)). Help me because it seems like the boundries these days are majorly blurred and not just you guys but I too am passionate on making them clear I just haven't come across any thing to do that.

Jerks??? First of all, if Uprockers, especially King Uprock; if he would have not reintroduced true Rocking back into the Hip Hop world, none of you cats would've even know the term Jerks! So let's be real!

Bboying, Breakin or whateva does not contain Jerks... if a Bboy is performing "Jerks" in their Toprock - they are attempting to Uprock or have no clue in what they are doing. This is a sign of inexperience. However, the majority of Bboys can't Uprock to save their life.

I'm not disrespecting you Lirics - I'm even more passionate in preserving the truth of Uprock and making it clear.

MUCH DIFFERENCE!
