Ahh... I know what you're talking about now.
No, that's not mixing, that's Wak's style of Toprock. You have to remember that King Uprock was one of Wak's first influences - and he has various Toprock styles. So, when you see him perform the same or similar steps in Rocking... it's just his Freestyle. When we refer to "actually mixing" it's more of performing watered-down, poor Jerks and repeated poor Burns while Toprocking in a Bboy battle. I hope you understand... it's hard sometimes to explain without a visual. Peace |

roger that, thanks for the explanation Pjay. I'm pretty sure I understand this a lot better now. He definitely wasn't doing burns and jerks in his toprock in that clip, it was just a lot of other similar steps and movements that he was doin in both styles of rocking that i wasnt sure if that kind of overlap was the part of what you were talking about in the other thread. I think wak's toprock is amazing, so cool to watch. T
hanks for the reply, I've learned a great deal from your posts. |

I dunno if I'm reading your post right, but it shouldn't be tedious.
It's not even important in a "you have to learn it" sense. You only have to learn this if you WANT to rock. There's nothing about bboying that requires someone to learn to uprock. Only do it if you want to. |

And tho it's been mentioned before, there's nothing that says bboys need to learn uprock.
If a bboy has stiff or wack toprocks, then they need to work on their tops, not uprock. |

I`m a hop skip away from bk, let me know where ya be thowin jams at, i`ll come chek ya one day. Pjay, you got anymore clips? yea if you a bboy, you got 2 have the complete package, cause if all u got is powermoves(dont wanna mention names) u gotta go back 2 the basics. You could do a windmill 2 handspin, do a triple backflip and land on your head while u stay spinning, then that shit incridible, but if it look sloppy with no flavor, then you need 2 start hittin the cardboard more often, big up ken swift< |
