Those lock jerks i learned from Rob Nasty who learned them from Buz, I don't know if i do them exactly how Buz did them or taught them cause i learned 2nd hand but i still like the whole idea of them. Maybe Buz can explain more about them.

Yeah those are my students, that is a new rock crew we got out here called Time 2 Rock, we meet up at least once a week and dance. Alot of them are still begininng but i think they show promise and most important love for the dance.

Hey Bandit I meant to ask you about that name Time 2 Rock I heard you mentioned it a couple of time ... but now I see,,, hey my blessing to you your student and the new crew.... wow the idea of the lock yerk came out of the individual call re-run it was this character that many have heard about we called that dance the re-run dance I bet it had to do alot with that locking thing from cali.. but I can't get into much of that because I was never a locker or popped in my days what ever I know about that dance I learned it in the 80's saw it expirienced it but never a part of it but always admired it... now like I said the locking yerk was a yerk that CUS 108 and I ( BUZ ) from touch of rock came out with watching re-run dance we incorparated that re-run move into the rock dance in many ways my boy Cus loved to do them move and he was always doing this soul train line look alike in this basement where we would pratice rocking in Bushwick brooklyn .. and when Cus and I would battle each other just to throw steps at each other he would come with this re-run thing and I will come at him with almost the same style of re-runs locking move but in a Yerk move.. and from there we would use it in many ways such as a sly locking Yerk and most of all a full Yerk but folding the lock all the way down to the floor.. bandit seem to add sometime way different to it because we never used our head to lock that yerk but that's the beauty of this dance rock that you can take a move and change it to a style of your own and still represent.. my boy CUS , SNOOPY , NOEL AND i BUZ are working on this video as we speak on all the kinds of Yerks that we did and also the yerks that we invented and when it's all set we will you-tube this thing with a little history of the crew touch of rock .... peace and God Bless my brothers... Yeah, we all should spend more time dancing to the music, getting it in our soul before we go down to the floor without rhythm or flavor. Liked some of the creativity in the first vid, esp. person at 1:36.
Couldn't watch all of the 2nd vid. Thought it lacked intensity. S'what I thought, but dope bringing attention to the uprock that can be expanded upon. Was doing some rocking yesterday and it really helps to develop an entire feeling for the... "art" I'm gonna say.
btw, met B-boy Joe yesterday and noticed he was like 5'5", starting to realize how some guys can make it look easy. Powermovers that is. No excuse, but for anyone else a little frustrated in their powermove development, nah mean?
