Looking for a crew in London -
05-03-2009, 01:21 AM
I've started bboying about 3 months ago and really want to progress. Any tips on how to find a crew would be appreciated. If you are reading this and happen to have a crew willing to take in a very dedicated member then please add jameswas@live.co.uk on MSN. xD

How about you two start a crew together? You'd have a lot more fun starting a crew with people of similar skill than joining an already-established crew. Recruit a couple more peeps and train hard for a few months, then hit all the local jams in London (there are LOADS). 'Throwdown' is a good one to hit if you want to start making a name for your crew/yourself.

yeah said dis b4 somewhere ...it would be nicer if not all of the crew members have Bboy moves only but more different styles like hiphop/street etc. so we can mix that and just create the perfect crew.

Uh...only do that if you're entering street/hip hop competitions. I started out with hip hop and street so I'm pretty good with it but that was before I took b-boying seriously. These days it's 99% b-boying, 1% whatever I feel like doing.
You will not be able to become a dope b-boy without at least 70% of your dancing time dedicated to b-boying, believe me. And learning hip hop choreography is a lot harder than it looks for groups of people since it's not as personal as b-boying, you have to just keep taking classes and get used to learning choreography and making it look good. That's not so bad for one person but a group of people taking classes at once? Someone's gonna drop out, I'm willing to bet on it. Not everyone will want to do everything. |

yeah i understand what u mean..
i know how hiphop choreography goes i go through that phaze where people get frustrated and angry because of little stuff. but every1 masters a different kind of style dance..like i know how to pop&lock very tight. im new into this bboy world, i started not too long ago, still gettin the hang of most of the tricks i learned..already puttin in the hard work and hopefully become a decent Bboy sometime |
