New toprock sets i did tonight, i think i'm making some headway and cleaning up on my foundation as well as getting my own flavour and adding in some more complex steps.

Feedback and tips appreciated, but please try not to be offensive, even i get offended by overly hurtful comments.

Hope there's some all right stuff in there.

Peace

Tips Tips Tips.

upper body upper body. use your arms, do popping movemants, do signs wave them hit beats clap spank yourself do crazy movement shit. not only your arms but use your chest too.

You can lean forward or backward or side to side or do hula hoop shit with your upper body.

also change up your step speeds, try to double step in between beats

Good points.

You are on beat step wise. and you choose good music. Great song choices to practice to. Also get Apache and its just begun. Perfect for learning.

Thanks for tips, i have both those songs, i'll go dig them up and get to it.

Yeah my tops are slower, but i'm focusing on staying on beat at the moment, i'll work on getting faster double time tops and post up another one real soon.

As for the upper body, i got heaps of people telling me i was using the upper body too much so i sorta stopped using it heaps and focused on making it simple and clean, i'll go see my teacher and ask him what to do for upper body.

Thanks again swiper, <3 u always hun, hehe jk.

Peace

I can't tell if you're hitting the beats right. Clap your hands really hard just once so we can tell if it's lag or not. When you put your foot down try to sync it with the music so it's kind of like you're the one making the "boom" sound.

My camera is a bit shoddy so it looks like i'm not hitting beats (sometimes that's cause i lose the beat as well) but yeah i was making sure i hit beats more than doing fancy movements.

Peace

I think your steps are too soft. Put more energy into your steps. Definitely an improvement from before I would say.

Keep it up!!

when you say you're concentrating on hitting the beats, i think maybe you're mistaking things like horns with snares. When people say hit the beat, I think they mean make sure you at least step strong on the snares. I think I remember seeing you confused at what exactly a snare was in a song, and I'm not sure if it's the video that's screwing things up, but I think I saw like half of your top stepping on the snare and half that were somewhere else. Anyway, make sure you're aware of the timing of the snare and keep your strongest steps for that and keep it up.
