Question Toprock Footwork - 09-20-2006, 03:27 AM

I am brand new to the BBoy scene, and I was wondering if the standing footwork in this video is something I could learn under the BBoy style? I know this is probably not the best vid to put in my first post, but it is what led me to find this site.

He looks like he is doing some wild Toprock variations while standing and this is something I would like to learn. Like I said, I am a complete newb, my wife is divorcing me and I have not been dancing in like 5 years so I am just looking to get back into it for fun and fitness.

Thanks.

Actually

This is James "Smidget" DeVito. This video is actually from the very first National Tournament we hosted in Dallas, Texas last year for a game known as "pump it up." Believe it or not, the national competition for this game will be hosted in Charlotte, NC this Saturday to determine who gets sent to Korea and compete for a 30k dollar prize. If you'd like to learn more information or check out the pump scene, go to Pumpcore - Southeast's Premiere Pump Community

OH, and this kind of dancing is honestly club dancing really. I've got my own routine for a song called "Emergency" this year (aka Emergency Situation by Drunken Tiger) and i'm trying to pack it full of breakin. I'll make sure to put all the video from the event in my gallery after this weekend.

hmm....

how long has it been now?

Wow man, thank you so much. I will look into it, and I guess just hangin out in the club to see what I can pick up would be best. Kablammyman gave me some leads to track down the roots to the steping used, props to both of you.
