TOPROCK or GINGA - 05-19-2006, 11:33 AM

So toprock or ginga (ginga is kind of like toprock but capoeira version)
I choose toprock,
go to video.google.com and wright ginga to see what it is?

dude... I searched for ginga on youtube.com, and man, that's pure capoeira
Isn't capoeira a Brazilian martial arts thingy (dunno how to say it =P) ?
Toprock is a part of breakDANCE, it's a dance, toprock and ginga are 2 different things that should not be compared. I don't know shit about ginga, just know that there are a lot of bboy(or bgirl, lol)moves in it.
Well, I'll have to go for Toprock, because it's BEAUTIFUL

^ This is just what I know and it's my opinion, so stop bitchin around haters ^

capoeira is actually more like a dance fighting. they play music and fight with the rhythm.

..but toprock is waaaay more hardcore then ginga. haha

Two different artforms, two different beat structures.

Should be kept seperate. No argument.

I love Capoeira, but as stated, it can't be compared to toprock. They both involve art forms, but so what? Capoeira is meant to capture the art of movement in hand-to-hand combat, but toprock is an essential element in the art of bboying, and is not an art form on its own.

i like to mix mine. i started with capoeira and automatically flowed into bboying, so yeah, i ginga and toprock. sometimes i go down into my footwork with a negavita or a mia lua. I also graft a relogio into my style. I find it creative to do both, but that's just me.
