Toprock Tips/Help - 05-02-2006, 03:39 AM

iight well here. Just started out, I feel I sorta got the hang of it. Been observing other pplz' vids too.
I dont know just rate me on a YOU SUCK/YOU OK/YOU GOOD/PERFECT rating..

and if you mind, Please tell me what im doing wrong/what i need to improve on and that. TIPS would help too

I'm a beguiner too so I don't know how much this will help.
The first thing you need to practice on is to actually practice with music. Also, when you step out with your toes don't just tap the ground, put your weight on your toes(Personally I try to keep the weight of my body even for each of my feet, not just on one) and then spring back to your starting position.
For now, when you step out with one foot don't lift the other foot of the ground until it is time to step out with it (both feet should be on the ground at all three positions). After you can do that experiment with other types of toprock.

I'd recommend crossstep toprock(or indian step, or whatever you call it) for beginners. Check this forum with search function for tutorials :-)

wELLZZ i say you need to work on your hands and feet as well as your body ....its not just your feet....DUH!!!!
