A Truck Load of Props to Bboy Lemon -
06-22-2006, 08:33 PM
Thanks for the vid, bboy lemon i learned alot from this video, Thanks and i have a question for you, how long or how many hours you practice a day or week to get so good, in such a short time.I have been practicing about 18 to 20 hours a week, which i break down like this, mon 4 hours, tues 4hours, wed 4 hours and sat 2 or 4hours amd sun 2-4hours and i noticed that i am learning pretty quick that way but , i mean, being in college, five days a week, for 6 hours a day and working 4 days a week, it's not hard to find the time for bboying but do you think or anybody else on here that i can burn myself out being on this set pattern ??????

KNOWLEDGE SELF--IREALLY am a beginner and i do like 30 mins daily and i divide it up like mon-toprock/footwork tuesday-spins, wed-swipes, thurs-freezes and so forth that rally helps cause you focus on one or two things each session instead of trying to pack it in...but i would think with all those things going on just like me youd burnout pretty quickly..but awesome dedication man you go bboy!!

Don't you love to bboy -
07-06-2006, 05:58 PM
Yeah bboy lemon your tight it is alot of practicing and i am losing studying time, sleeping time, relaxing time, but in wierd way it's all worth it, well i guess only physically .But hell yeah it's hard as hell, to be able to stop and go straight to studying, for one reason, you always have that dope move in the back of your head that you think you can combine with anoher and also i don't know about any of you but there's always that dope beat in the back of your head, that keep your legs moving, thus keep you from being in one place. It's very hard for me to stop bboying even after four hours of practice .Well i am going to put another vid on here and see if i can study for this damn exam tomorrow.peace

lol Superduff, bboyin over school. Totally with ya bro. Its too addicting. Where I go. No matter what I do. Its who I am. I have to include it.
KL - One thing you dont want to do is rush your moves. Not a smart thing to do. Short run. Yes, you will have it to impress people but chances are that it wont turn out the way you want it. Just learn a move and when you think you have that move down. I dont mean to the masters ability but just got it so you can do it smoothly, move on. That way your not pressuring yourself to become better. Let it naturally come. You will learn moves ALOT moves faster. I wish someone would have told me that my 1 year breakin. I spent nearly 1 and years trying to get 2-3-6 step, windmills, flares. When I could have did them till i knew how and them worked on more. I think having a variety of moves on your hands helps you alot. Than just having just perfect 6 step, mills and flares. You can experiment with them.
