Hey i need help...

i can 2 lotz o stuff on the ground,
but when it comes 2 toprock, can only backslide (Michael Jackson called it the moonwalk), and a wave... Me and my friend can do the puppet, but nothin really impressive to get ppl's attention in clubs..... Give some advice along wit how 2 do som moves pls!!

That isnt toprock.. thats more considered popping/locking..

-edit- Also, toprock isnt supposed ot get peoples attention, its for you, its to find your rhythm.

Toprock DOES to get ppl attention, it shows them ur style and it's to relax urself and to bust ur moves..and yeah..u ned to go by the rythme and make the proper moves in each sound...it's also good to use a uprock trick:
You need to be upright on the first beat, and down on the fourth. Listen to the music and count one, two,three, four.
1. ur up
4. ur down..
it's kinda cool to make is smooth and quick, but do not make it alot just like 1 time

I was taught that it is like jogging in a way that you jog on every beat. jog to a beat of 1,2,3,4 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,...) and do this for a while for practice. Once you get use to this, try getting more creative with it and jog to a beat of 1, and, 2, 3, and, 4. That beat is the same as the first one but you step in between 1, 2 and in between 3,4, just like a quick step, you can even think of that step as a triple step, skip a beat, triple step. I get use to that and start making patterns you can move to the beat. And to get even more creative you can add uprock to your steps with the same to 1,2,3,4 step which is up on 1 and down on 4. I like to do my uprock with a 1,2,3,and,4 step count just to look flashy with faster footwork. Hope this helps alittle or explainswhatever you learned a little better.
