other dances - 03-18-2004, 04:12 PM

Do you people know any other dances that I could add into my toprock?

I know people add cwalking into theirs, I do it at home just for fun, but I'm not in a blood or crip so I don't think cwalking is for me. =)

Belive it or not, I'm actully a big theatre man. I preform alot in Musicals, and sing and dance and act. I've actully added Tap-Dancing steps to my top-rock, pretty neat. That's why Top-rock is the ultimate move, there are infinate combonations you can try.

there are a lot of other toprocks and rocking steps as well, like indian step, shuffle, replacement tops and so on. Check some of those out before you go start taking salsa lessons to improve your toprock , but if you already know other dance forms, by all means, feel free to experiment

you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

Yes, by all means experiment if you want, but be forewarned: there are many (such as myself) that do not believe cwalking belongs in the circles.

Anyhow, there are many more specified movements during toprocking, so search them out, practice, and exeriment.

As for me, I choreograph many local dance performances that encompass pop and hip hop, so naturally there is some pop style movements in my toprock. But that's just me.

Other moves! - 08-01-2004, 10:16 AM

I think I know those moves Snowman728 but it has been a loooooong time and I would have to get the camera out to show you. I may or may not be right as there are many moves I don't know their name and I presumed what they are called cause I started over 20 years ago and there are a lot of moves I do that I am yet to name!
By all means put in other stuff. I have been a dancer since I was 5 and I come from a long line of entertainers. I am 41 and I have done ballet, tap, jazz, african dances, cuban(salsa and traditional), brazilian(samba, lambada), bellydancing and ofcourse breakdancing. There are probably some dances that I have left out.
Just go off into your own space and you will come up with some original stuff.
