By bounce do you mean like verticle motion, as in bending and straightening of legs?

Come on peeps, 60 downloads and only 1 reply? Give me some feedback. Please?

in general, it's good
you have a variety of steps that you obviously know and the execution of them is nice. I wouldn't complain if you busted that out in a circle at all

now, for constructive criticism

1 - this COULD be your camera angle but it looks like you've got your shoulders hunched up by your ears, which makes your arms swing kinda stiffly even though you ARE using them and it looks natural

try dropping your shoulders down and letting your chest cave in and out instead of hiking them up like that , that should also make it easier for you to get some swing in your hips

2 - you're kind of stiff through your body, even though you ARE moving it it looks like there is more effort for that to happen than needs be. Let your knees do more of the swinging, that's gonna help your angles, and let your hips twist instead of rotating your whole body from time to time

3- speed it all up, and make some of the movements smaller... instead of spreading your legs so wide in the skip step ( The one where you're kicking out side to side) , make that distance smaller and then let your body travel more if you want to increase the space

same with the replacement tops

but there isn't need for that much improvement, good work

you must have been a bgirl.... because the only moves that you pulled on me were heartbreakers

Yeah I kinda noticed that I was a bit hunched up. Also, do you think it looks to repetitive?

yes and no, but i'm assuming that you were posting for feedback and not for your freestyle skills

if you were freestyling, then yeah, no more than two of anything usually, unless you're REALLY flipping that shit, switching directions and emphasis

Yeah, I was just posting for feedback on my stuff. Thanks for the input by the way. I do want to improve my freestyling skills though cause it just kinda seems like it's better than going out there pre coriographed(sp?). What do you mean by direction and emphasis by the way? Direction as in the way ur facing?

yeah
direction as in which way your head faces, your legs face, your hips face...
mix that up, that comes along with having more mobility in your hips and hitting angles anyhow
and emphasis on how hard you hit different parts of every step

get me ?

As electron said, you have a lot of moves in your top that give you a lot of potential. It was enjoyable, but a tad boring and repetitive, for a couple reasons:

-Arm Movement: Although ur legs were busy busting different steps, your arms were stuck in the same open-close-open-close repetition. Mix that up a little bit, concentrate some of your style into those arms.

-Angle: Although you might have been doing it on purpose for the camera, all ur movements were done with the front of your body facing the same way. This gets boring and cuts down some of the more dynamic things you can do when you are rotating.

-Speed: Some parts were slower than others, without having purpose (sometimes certain quick movements can benefit by a quick speed up/slow down) but it's not the best seeing moves done slow that would look 10x better done at a quicker pace.

-*minor*- facial expression - MAyb the camera, but u looked like you were trying too hard =p.

-Overall nice though.

Sorry for bein pissy bout it. Guess I wasn't thinkin. Also, thanks to the other peeps. I'm gonna work on the stiffness, n speed. The angle was for the camera. When i'must practicing I usually change directin and stuff, but I figured you guys probably don't want to watch my back, so I stayed the same direction. As for the face, heh, I have a tendancy to bite my lip or stick my tongue out. Gonna have to work on that.

Not bad, you show much potential!

I do have one issue I'll discuss...

Assuming the music that's playing you're toprockin to... listen to it again while watching your movements... your dancing should encompass the beat that hitting, so if it's hard step - dance aggressive; if it's a slower hip hop beat - loosen up.

In any case, you're body should adjust to the beat of the music that's playing.

If you would have sped up your steps and included some aggressiveness, it would have been great toprock clip... The speed and "laid back" attitude you showcase seems more towards a slower KRS beat instead.

My two cents.

Engyn.

The important thing is... is that at anytime we can sacrifice what we are now for what we can become.

True or False: 'Dance like noone's watching'?

FALSE
