Anyhow, just leave him be.

I'm not a big advocate of cwalking, nor am I one to tell people NOT to do it. Like I've been saying, your dancing style defines who you are on the inside (or should for those that are dancers at heart), and if a person believes that cwalking is where it's at, then there must be some justification in his or her personality. Clownwalking is somewhat of a new concept to me; however, I do not plan to incorporate it into my style. At the same time, I won't denounce any who utilitze it. It looks cool, but I won't do it.

So for those that think it's stupid to do it, deal with it. For those that do it, dance on, brotha!

Engyn.

I'm noob and most of the time when i looking in forums. All the people say that "doing what u feel about the music, don't think about what others may think about you" and now i understand what they mean. The kid was in a party to have some fun and it doesn't matter what kind of dance he was doing, if he thinks it looks good in his dance then he should do it and WHo are you to tell what's breaking and what's not.

First of all no dis man, its true your a very dedicated breaker, but do you have to always play by the rules? the only reason why i think that you think that c-walking is not a true bboy move is becuz you got dis from this kid, anyhow what you post was really discouraging, cuz I add styles to my tops simply by criping....... I dont know what the heck is the probs if a diffrent style of foot work goes in the proccess, its sad to say that you called yourself furiosfootwork if you cant live with other styles of footwork in this world you live in.............. you just dis yourself man and your name, but thanks for postin' that issue, it was very interesting....... no hard feelings for my opinion ok! peace man....... you know why dont you try practicing the c-walk you might like it someday...... so that you can show that kid that you can do too in parties....... for fun i mean...... aight!

I wouldn't mind having some show off battling me with a c-walk along with top/up rocks, as long as it wasn't an official hip-hop/break battle. But I do know certain people who have no respect for break dancers which limits me from pulling certain stunts during the Manhattan Nightlife. Certain stereotypes about us bboys, "Oh you pull off that gig you just did would just prove to everyone watching how you can't dance with anyone (girls)", I mean anyone can probably grind, if that's what you consider dancing with people in a 21+ event. I don't know whether to classify this stereotype as hate or jealousy, but I do know most the bboys I know don't go clubbing or too shy to dance with anyone else.

Don't you just hate it when the stereotypes all of a sudden feed in?

But with Crip and Blood walkin` adding to a rock, I don't see anything wrong with that. And a 'tru' Bboy should know how to counter those techniques, trying out new moves... dancing is fun! ^_^

i dun like to stir up controversy, but I think if the guy c-walks during his Bboying, it is cool. I don't think it is fair to try and restrict Bboying to a preconceived idea of what it is. Maybe this guy is thinking of what it could be. I think of it as an artform, and if his Bboying components were done with correct form, then it's all good. Who's to say that you can't mix pop with rock or salsa dancing with the meringue? Don't restrict art or it will never grow.
