To say the truth most people like the pros don't care how you toprock as long as you get in the circle. so do it how everi do it how ever. but there is one thing tho, some people like your friend might not like your style and others will like it...

1stly tell your friend his an idiot
2ndly tell yourself there is no right or wrong toprock everyone is different. a toprock is just a dance on ur feet. mainly used as an intro to your set.. in my opinion, yes u do need toprock to bust but there are powerheads that go straight in to power what u need is experience. you will soon realize that toprock is ur own little unique style |

I agree with Trainer here. Toprock doesnt have to be in the shape of a V or a circle. I toprock in circles sometimes... sometimes I toprock forward and backwards too. Its your style. If u can form a circle or get people to woo u wen ur toprockin then its fine.

Drifter...the final project
Breaking can be whatever you want it to be. If you want it to be the original, structured dance that it was 20 years ago, then it can be that for you. If you want it to be your own limitless form of expression, it can be that for you. The world will never agree on what exactly Breaking is... and if the world ever does agree, then I guess I won't be Breaking anymore. -Kujo, Soul Control |

The point of uprockin in circles -
09-19-2003, 02:50 PM
The whole point of uprockin in a circle is to clear the floor at a packed club. When u r out in the open u can do it however u want to, but go in circles to clear a circle at the club.

Toprocking isn't for making room to bust. That is such bullshit, I think it was said in Basic Moves Video, I wouldn't beleive pretty much anything they say in that video.

lol at above...
anyways i think you should toprock before goin into any moves cause well it looks like you a gymnast if you jus bustin straight into powers from standin... if your in a crowd get your friends to push em off a lil and motion with your hands to get out the way while your dancing you dont gotta do it in circles with your legs cause most likely thats gonna end you up kickin somebody and a fight breakin out. |

if u wanted to make room to bust u simply say ''hey ladies and gentleman, please step aside while i breakdance'' u dont dance around in circles and or skip around to shift ppl hehe that would be funny tho |
