Bboy Byu stopped his tuts? - 11-01-2009, 01:00 AM

well, as we know bboy byu has not released parts 3 and 4 of his second tutorial, which leaves many of his moves shown on his first tutorial, a mystery.

but other than that, there's one specific move which he calls the "emphasized kick step" which I have trouble trying to do. are there any tutorials for this on youtube?

I'm sorta glad he stopped (for a while? who knows.)

he makes learning how to toprock to simple for ppl tbh.

and before u know it, you'll have 10000 ppl toprocking just like byu. respect to byu though, im just saying he really is almost spoon feeding ppl on how to improve their toprock instead of them figuring it out for themselves.

He said he's making part 3 soon on his most recent video, so I'm pretty sure he's just busy. It looked like he goes to a private school or something from a video of him playing the drums.

Edit: Does anyone know his ID on this website? I can't find him anywhere.

well he does have a point, but at the same time byu wants to help. Byu is highly inspiring and all, but just maybe, kevin is right because people who dont know how to toprock will be biting off byu's style, and at the same time they are finding their own style too. so its an unknown decision for me.

meh i disagree theres always ways to improve your toprock that no tutorial can show, there will not be 10000 people toprockin like byu.. they may have his steps alright , but adding that byu style ? na i dont think so..

Yeah I kinda agree I saw this vid of a beginner doing his tops and he wrote in his description like "ty to bboy byu for his tuts" and you could tell he was trying really hard to copy byu's style, like every single movement he does. It can be a very good guide / help for beginners like myself, but when you start trying to copy EVERYTHING he does, it's like, meh....

He didn't make those tuts to be copied , imo he did this to learn moves and to make people improve which works really well but People who bite him won't improve really , and tbh they should understand that there is no point of being a Byu n°2

In my opinion what he did is really nice , the thing that isn't is what people do with it

i just like to watch his tuts so that i can get an understanding of nice moves since i can't think of any at my bboy level. and i want to make sure that i have a strong foundation of bboying (even if it takes copying byu exactly) before i start putting my own touch to it b.c without a strong foundation, putting in your own style can be disastrous.
