u guys shouldnt get worked up over people copying his style.
it isnt that easy. bboy byu only teaches moves and how to do them. it's a foundation thing. for many of us, who dont go to professional studios, dont have connections with pro bboys, we don't know these toprock variations. i happened to get a teacher recently from TIP jr, he knows all the toprock variations that bboybyu teaches. alot of pros kno these steps, it's not a problem if more know these steps as well. as for adding style, how do u "copy" bboybyu's style? it's a rly chill, relaxed style with a certain amount of added energy. a noob that tries to copy it will fail because it feels unnatural. and wat is his style anyways? alot of bboys move like him, albeit without the same length of toprock, and i seriously doubt it's because they bite him. |

and yes many ppl move like him, and many more will try to move like him the more ppl praise him for his tops and the ppl who happen to look at him developed their style like that on their own from influences, they are true to their bboying. but yeah after thinking about it, its fine him bringing alotta toprock tech/steps to beginners, i just feel its a consequence that some/many ppl will try too hard to be like him when they dance. |
