Headspin Help - 02-21-2007, 03:42 PM

I do CCW spins and i'm currently workin on tapping... i can get around a couple rotations but my right leg seems to sag really low as i turn and most of the time it pulls my entire body down and i end up falling... i know you're suppose to keep your legs above the hip line at all times but i cant seem to get that right leg to stay up... i do V-shaped spins with my legs pointing up and out... is there a way i can fix this leg problem?

That's the exact problem I have. Whats helping me more right now is just rotating my hips a little bit more with each rotation...not so much as to where my leg falls. Take it slow and gradually.

hmm...that used to happen with my headspins. hmm u guys know how to whip? like rewind ur legs and then whip the opposite way? if u do then that's how u headspin faster. Now for the leg problem, once ur whipping and rewinding, LOCK your legs, keep em straight in a big V LOCK them bitches. and the only thing you need taping for is if u lose ur balance or if u stop and need to whip again. well that could be one problem

Problem number 2 could be your neck isnt strong enough yet, i had this problem before, you can't hold ur balance because your neck wobbles a bit when you whip. But it can be fixed easily if you do neck exercises for like 2 weeks, and if you keep practicing headstands ur neck will get stronger.

well with both of those i fixed my headspins hope it helps u guys :P
