okay this might sound really stupid, but what is a tap?? people keep saying "....tap....tap" but I have no idea what a tap IS! Help please? And also, should you spread your legs out when you spin or keep them together?

It's when you use your hands to generate more momentum. And as far as splitting your legs go, it depends on the move. "Taps" don't just apply to headspins.

I find it hard to keep balance all i can do is 2 taps then i fall

i cant even do one! ill put my hands down and ill fall, or ill try to spin and ill fall. and i really want to know how to do a headspin so this sorta sucks.

When you tap is the best time to get the whip. Just dont rely on your hands.

Yes you tap and whip at the same time, altho ull eventually learn to do two whips for each tap =)

And you know how you can do footwork on flat hands(palms down) or raised hands(on finger tips) use finger tips
