around shoulders but you can only spin there with momentum. while on back, grab around knees and keep legs straight up i think. keep head close to knees too.
THIS REALLY HELPS: Stay on ONE shoulder blade. This reduces friction way toom much. I usually stop spinning because I get thrown off balance from all the speed instead of running out of it.
my backspin is working very well, can do alot of spins and with a nice speed. The thing for me to get alot of momentum is to use your hand (the one that is staying on the floor just before your leg takes of) to push on the floor. kinda like doing a handspin, use your hand to gain more speed.
It works fine for me.
There are a couple ways to start a back spin, one is from on your back already and kicking sideways with your right leg. The other is from millz or the hand spin position. Stay on upper back, kick like hell, and practice.
