At the same time you tap it really helps to use your hands to gain more speed. In addition, yeah, it helps to whip your legs while the tap. It just takes practice.

Doesnt matter what age you are.
Period.
You need to use your hips to get your legs moving. Hips are everything in power moves.
If you know how to do windmills then you should know how to use your hips.
If you dont know how to windmill, you shouldnt be headspinnin anyway.

imma hav 2 disagree with you moren, you can learn how to head spin with out knowing how to mill, Because i myself am one of those special few who did. Ooo and i dunno if you were calling the headspin a power move but i don't really feel it should be considered a power move, dont you think? i mean all your doing is tapping and whipping your legs, i think of it as more of a balance move, just my two cents.

Well usually windmillin is one of those moves people learn first.
And its the basis for most of the power moves. Brings technique.
And not a power move? You stoned?
Thats some of the worst bullshit ive ever heard :P

well...going back...i know u use ur hips to whip....but after whipping the first time.........do u continue to whip everytime u land on ur hands again?

BbOy ManHy, ur getting things bout power moves wrong... most of the power moves DONT require excess strength or w/e u call it. power moves are mostly balance and form. with good form and execution, most of the power moves out there can be done easily.

Well, pretty much a power move is something flashy.
Like airflares or windmills.
Let me put it this way then.
Airflares dont take much powed from me either, neither do flag 90's. So are they not a power move anymore now that i can do them without stressing my body?

Exactly.
Its a power move by what defines the move, not by how it feels.

ok like i know most power moves dont even need power in them, their only called power moves cause they look like they need power. when people look at the airflare, windmill and flare and etc they asume it need lots of power, im guessin thats how thery got they power LABEL. But the headspin is just a spinning move that when most people see they asume is a normal basic move. Now that asumsation i got was the expression of people critizim when they saw me doing it. Like for example, people would say, Ooo that doest look so hard", "or i can do that." I noe that doesn't mean anything but, but i my self think a headspin is not a powermove, and thats my opinion, you can flare on me all u want.
Ooo and streetmage when first learngin headspins you should whip everytime you tap so you can get more mometum to continue spining and up hold your posture. Tapping is when every your spinning and feell as if your falling, you put your hands down as if when you started (on da floor with fingers pointed away from your head) and push yourself in da direction that you were going, with the help of whipping your legs. Ooo and you dont stop spinning when you tap.
