I dont understand how one gets that many spins...

I cant ever get more then like 4... EVER. Is it just the ground that im on? It looks like people are oiling up their backs and the floor too? Even if it is cheating, it looks hella fun

^nope, no oiling of the backs or the floor.... it's sweat bro.
and not cheating..
not to mention i've hit the world record (38 by eagle) with a spinjacket on.. no video, but i've hit way more than 40 before and so i know what it feels like so i know i at least hit what eagle hit.
anyway, it's PRACTICE mang. i worked really hard t oget backspins like this. entire sessions of pure backspins mang for almost two years. if you want more than 4 backspins, you have to practice!

there was a time where 3 backspins was a TON for me.. and gradually that got to 6, then 8, then 11, 13, 15, 20, 25, 35, 50

if you really want backspins, you've got to practice a lot dude.

I feel as if I spin O.K but I wanna hit upto 20 baxspinz. Tipsss meeen!!! I think I gatt tha whole "proper" positioning thing right on my upper torso but I need MOOORE! rotationz.
I luuuurv backspinnz,especially tha ol skul bboys lyk Rock steady(1st generation) and moreso NYC Breakers back in tha 80's n ishh! They wuz spinnin FOREVER mannn! WTF! Even that ballet chick in flashdance(sori can't remember her name lol!) did'em lyk A-B-C,.....eeeeazzzy! That challlenged me 4 real though. Plus I think I'm lyk tha only bboy bak here that RESPECTS backspinz in terms of its origin n originator(who I sort'a share name with heh heh!). Most breakers jus wanna learn "killer" powermoves.....but I think that Backspinz kill lyk crazy,just as tha other powermoves.
BTW,what's tha record for backspinnzzz?!!

the record for backspins is 52 rotations. by me. LOL YES I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE ABLE TO TRUTHFULLY SAY THAT and now i have. i can die happy now XD

20 spins is a shitload. most oldschool backspins i see are only like 10 to 15 rotations..

physicx does a nasty one but even he only hits about 13

to get in the 20s you need a lot of practice and determination as well as attention to details in the form. I can hit probably 25-30 with a shirt if i haven't been sweating in it on a decent floor.. lately i've been maxing out early. this actaully tends to happen this time of year as i've noticed. backspins get a lil worse in the fall but they shine in teh summer haha.

as far as not floating, i suggest balancing on your upper back for a few minutes at a time. just lay back in the backspin position. i find floating is caused from shifting when you spin, so if you perfect the balance, you can control that shift (well its more like you learn how not to shift).... thats really all i can say for that but #1 rule = Practice!!!!

backspins look easy. and they are... if you want 3 or 4.. to get more isn't as natural as it seems it should be

nooo they did not put it in the book. they didn't want to make it a new type of record (there was no guinness backspin record before)

however, there was actually an oldschool bboy called The Next One. it's rumored he hit 75 at a zulu jam in 97 i think. i haven't seen footage of him actaully doing that many, but i looked him up and saw him do like 23 rounds out of magnets. seeing as my typical # is about that, and since i hit 52 not as my personal best, it's plausible he hit around 75.

i want to see those 75 spins so i can set that as my new goal. however, until i actually see the footage of him hitting that many, i will keep the claim.
