Windmill to Headspin Transition -
07-30-2009, 08:36 PM
I know there have been some threads on how to transition from a windmill to a headspin already, but does anybody have/be willing to write an actual tutorial (text or video)? Because all I can find is a bunch of scattered tips, I don't really know how to start at all, thanks!

Yeah, I wanna know too. Ive been trying this transition for a while. I always tap my left leg on the ground when I kick from mill to headstand position. I can windmill and headspin continuous tho.

ill try n help i used to be able to do them until now i just got bac into breakin anyways a easier way to get it is to try it on back first until you got it down. swing your leg like you were to do a windmill except lean more toward your shoulder pop by your shoulder up towards your head quickly puting your hands down practice youll get it its like a popping spin motion youll get it hope i helped.

Keep high on your back, put your legs as far over your head as you can get, roll back and up. Keep at it and it won't take you TOO long. |

well its not necessarily a transition but what really worked for me was to coast, halo, catch and coast again. halos are surprisingly easy to learn but remember to KEEP YOUR NECK STRAIGHT!!!!!

yeah what madd said. i think it's really useful to practice a roll-back to your head first, concentrate on kicking your legs straight up towards the ceiling.
going from a mill to ur head it's the same feeling. as your legs come round and ur on your shoulders, roll round the side of your head and push up really hard, catching it with your hands. good luck! x |
