=) breaking moves help! =) - 12-19-2006, 01:26 PM

hi.
im 13, im new to breaking and have been doing it for about 4 months. but as im new i have seen loads of people talking about these moves but i dont know what they are! they are a CC and a Cricket. can anyone please post a video showing me, or just a comment to explain them ..chererz. =)

moves i can do:
freezes
top rocks and uprocks
footwork
a bit of body popping
worm
turtle (im learning that now i can only do about 5 steps, but cant spin round)
handspin (learning that too, i can get the basic stance and lift myself up, but then i can only do about 2 spins round, then i'll bail and i cant go very fast)
helicopter
6step, and kind of 3step (not 100% sure how to do it)
and some other things that i dont know the names of lol.

but yeah, any advice on getting the turtle and handspin better, also the 3step and how to do that(like a vid or something showing me) or what moves to go on to next? cheerz. will. =P

wrong forum lol (beginners forum)

but anyway.....

turtles - my friend told me that i wasnt spinning b/c I was taking steps only with one hand - the other hand wasnt moving enough
so that solved my turtle problem

worm.... dont do tht unless it's in a hella good combo

everything else..... just be creative

ok im also learning headspins and i noticed what a very good practise is to get in the headstand position(legs spread out in a V shape) then slowly use your hands to help you walk around in circles(this well help u alot in headpsins when you are tapping) just get used to that motion first and i suggest you learn good headpsins taps first then you can drill them later but yea and on crickets...get in the turtle position...stab with one arm, and the other arm is out. Use the free arm and pull the ground with it and when you get a litte spin you use your free hand again to push your stabbed hand up and pretend to draw half a circle with the stabbed hand and repeat from the start...hope this helps but yea remember to use your free hand to push and pull!!!
