What exactly draws that line in the sand between A and B.
What he uses are steps you would see C-Walkers doing, his arms are not heavily used in that portion of his tops as well, and more importantly he still makes it look good.
Who cares if its MJ or C-Walk, the moral is by mixing styles you make something better.

And the moral of MY story is that you don't call something with two wheels, an engine, and handlebars a Harley-Davidson when you know damn well it's any motorcycle. How much do you know about c-walking, really? Just because the moves are superficially similar doesn't make it a legitimate comparison. They both have different approaches.
Oh, and I care, as you're the one who confused MJ for c-walking. Or did you not notice the kick Do-Knock did?

Wasn't Do Knock doing house steps in that clip? And I thought C-walk and tops had whole different flows and that you couldn't combine em because of that, just like you can't combine bboying and popping, without ruining the flow.
O well do whatever you want madd

C-walkin has any flow u want it to. Same as rockin. Walkin' has a constant flow to it...unlike poppin, which has a bunch of stops, hits, etc. Wit walkin, u can change it up any way u want to. I can take walkin' steps, make em more funky, and turn em into rockin steps. Its called innovation and creativity. Dats wut dis dance wuz founded on. How do u think toprock got to where it is today? I sho' as hell dont think its becuz someone said "well salsa and toprock have two different flows so..u can't combine em". Bullshit. Open ur closed mind for a lil bit and tell me wut c-walkin is. Dats right, a few hops and heel-toes. Well fuck...wut's a heel-toe? Its an ole' reggae step, more specifically dancehall. Believe it or not..the rhythm is very similar to rockin...except the bass is usually on the 4th beat instead of the clap. USUALLY. So tell me, u can't add a few hops and heel-toes in ur rockin?? Thats impossible?? Ppl with that train of thought, sir, were not the ones that got this dance to where it is today. Don't limit yourself or this dance by that train of thought. It is those same thoughts that drive dances down into the "fad" category. Peace!

I'm not gonna lie...I thought that infamous vid with those three Vietnamese kids C-walkin' was actually pretty decent, but I liked it cuz of the variation. I mean, you see WC from Westside Connection and Snoop Dogg C-walk all the time, but it's all the same. However, what those three did with the variation and adding their own flavor to it...I thought it wasn't bad at all.
However, let's get back to the point. I'm sure this was mentioned before *sigh*
C-walkin' is representative of Crips. The Crips is a notorious gang. B-boyin' was created to steer gangsters away from the gangs. Therefore, b-boyin' is the opposite of gangs. Lemme break it down for you.
C-walkin' = Gang Symbol
B-boyin' = Against gangs
In conlcusion, they don't add up. You're in a b-boy forum talking about something "gangster." Well, I hate to break it to ya, pal. But you're in the wrong place.
Oh, and Element, C-walkin' is not a dance. Even Crips like Kurupt say so. They hate it when people refer to it as "dancing."
I live and die for Hip Hop
This is Hip Hop of today
I give props to Hip Hop
So Hip Hop Hooray, ho-hey-ho-hey-ho-hey-ho
Hip Hop Hooray, ho-hey-ho-hey-ho-hey-ho

By C-walkin we're...or at least I...are talkin about clown-walkin. Clown-walkin IS a dance and AINT gang related.
Crip walkin and Clown Walkin are two different things...but one did come from the other (clown came from crip). And i hate to break it to u...but bboyin had its share of gangs too. What didja think that all crews back in the day were fun and love?? Bullshit.

Um I never said you can't add C-walkin in your tops, all I said is that I thought you couldn't combine them because I thought there was a difference in the flow. The reason of that is that I don't know anything bout C-walkin that's why I don't use it in my toprock. If I remember correctly I said something like

Hmmm C-walk, haven't tried it so I don't know what to think of it...
|
Why are you assuming that I'm close minded to the use of other dances in toprock? Just because I thought that you couldn't combine them, doesn't mean I wouldn't use it if it turns out that you can. I'm using modified jumpstyle steps in my tops for crying out loud, and you know how much I hate the dance. So don't assume I'm close minded only because I don't have the knowledge about all the dances that are on this world.

^^^^Well that wuzn't exactly directed at u...it wuz more at the masses of close-minded idiots that spit on c-walkin becuz that seems to be the "cool" thang to do here. I kinda took wut u said, bloated it to a popular extreme...and attacked it. So im sorry dawg...but that really all wuznt at u. It sure sounded like it tho now that im readin it again. My fault! Jus ignore it if it doesn't apply to u. The rest of these damn fools tho...thats who i wuz talkin to.

Yeah I wasn't sure either if it was directed to me, but I felt like responding to that.

OK seriously c walking is quite gay. Firstly, 99% of cwalking videos show only the foot. Now what kinda fucking dance involves only the body parts lower than the ankle? All you're doing is literally hopping around ... And they call it a dance. God, its like a wannabe version of toprock to me. And I swear so many people I know cwlak and think theyre all that

thats funny lol, lots of people where i live think c-walking is cool, and bboying is for posers..it all comes down to opinion though. one man's junk is another man's treasure right?
i think a lot of people c-walk just because it's popular though.. i'm not saying that about everyone, and congratulations if you're not one of these people, but if you are doing it to try to impress people, that's gay. c-walking looks pretty fun and doesn't look half bad imo, i wouldn't mind learning it, but i'd rather just spend my time bboying..heh bboying is really addicting :P
