to be frank, yes that should stop someone from doing it. i'm not a pacifist, but i certainly take precautions to avoid violence at all times. whether the gang is blue or not is really beside the point---it is still a gang.
the last thing i want to do is provoke anger in any one member. is c-walking for fun really worth potentially getting into trouble?

i'm all for always getting as much information out as possible...but there are other more appropriate sources suited for this. i say let youtube, wikipedia, and google explain this aspect of gang culture.

King i dont think u get it. Crippin is a gang walk...fo sho, n' no it shuldnt be done just anywhere, but clown-walkin is a hella different story. Any REAL crip wuld know the difference between clownin n' crippin. They wuldnt start shit over clownin unless they were either (a)stupid, or (b) lookin for a fight. Thats all there is to it. Clown-walkin has NUTHIN to do wit gangs, and can be done by anybody as a dance. So there is nuthin wrong with discussin clown-walkin, and like I said, it has no gang affiliation. Peace!

sorry guys, i think the miscommunication may have been because of the original post's ambiguity. i'm talking specifically about crip walking, not clown walking.
however, clown walking strongly resembles crip walking and i don't know if someone 50 feet away could tell.
and yes, you just don't do it anywhere...but that's my very point. if you can't safely do it anywhere, then there's a risk that can [emphasis on 'can'] ruin your fun.

Well actually, that's a good idea. Instead of just putting the C-Walk in this category, why not include all walks since they are done to music anyway. And go to breakdancecrew.com. they have C-Walking there. It's a pretty weak tutorial, but they include it none the less. And D.N.A., trust me I wasnt planning on doing it in a bboy battle. But a lot of the times they wanna C-Walk battle.

no, i have to agree with king on this one. if your dressing up, rocking the walk to act tough or rep something they arent than they are going to get their ass kicked. Clown walking isnt tough, its not about repping, and you dont use it like a badass. Hes right about this one, these people would....and said to say...deserve to get their ass kicked. People who rock a culture without understanding what they are doing need to get educated for real.

As far as the "dance" aspect goes. Its already pretty legit if u hit up clubs and shit.
