Not to hate, but your six step still isn't clean at all. You look so rigid. The six step only looks good fluid. Your opening toprock is about all that's remotely enjoyable.

The only reason I say this is because you talk like you've been bboying since the 80s, when this video has nothing impressive at all. Breaking in socks on carpet? Lol? You want people to take you seriously?

For an opening set I'd have to say the other guy has already won. You dont show any attitude and for being so "skilled" you seem like you started footwork a week ago.

Your top rock needs more energy, swing your arms and make a pose. The point to the top rock is to make you look tough, it makes it look really good if you pose it up. Your like just swinging your arms around and it looks sloppy. Your six step could use a bit more work, like the guy named Tekniq said, it's not the greatest, but it's decent. I'm not saying i'm any good, just giving pointers from a spectators point of view. Your freeze is good i liked it, very nice style and well executed, but make it smoother and a little bit faster, seemed like you paused a bit too much in between. Decent set i say.

When your in a cypher or a battle its good to have your tops aggressive. Even though you don't HAVE to have them all in a niggas face about to step on his feet, but tops are generally a first impression of what you WILL do...

tops are kinda like an interviews... you want them to look nice as you would if you went in for a job. Hitting them on point with the beat is guaranteed manager.

what i meant by not looking tough is in the sense of literal meaning.
of course toprocks are meant to make you look tough, in the sense, to give a prelude of what you have. i guess is the choice of words, misunderstood.

Lol, tops aren't about being tough, they're still just about expressing yourself. If you're a smooth bboy who has smooth footwork and smooth, clean power, it'd probably make more sense for you to rock kinda chill. To me, cyphers aren't just about being "tough", they're about TRULY expressing your dance. You can still kill someone without being crazy aggressive.

LOL kiks....... you got WAY too mad for a simple critique of your stuff. Sure he said you looked like you just started footwork, which may have been a bit too harsh, but who cares... Most of what he said was correct (a little exaggerated tho).

You should have one goal in tops above all else: grooving to the song being played, if you can't do that successfully then looking cool or tough is meaningless. And if there is one thing that looks terrible, its off-beat toprock haha...
