unless your going to be working on spins you dont really need a slick surface, lots of the time i practice on cement so that way i have to work on footwork/toprock (which is way more important than learning how to spin). Then if i am trying something a bit more tricky and dangerous, i go on grass or something that has a bit more give to it, then every once in a while when i am practicing after school at the school, thats when i start working on some more of the spinny stuff, which isn't that oft. So i think Cement is good untill you start getting some footwork down, and its better than grass or carpet (for footwork) so that when you dance on hardwood or what not your more used to the feel of it. Just make sure the cement is smooth enough that it doesn't cut up your hands
Bboying is what you make it.

There is no room in the basement, and the grass outside is usually full off sheep-pooh. I have a little space in my livingroom, about 4x4 m, but I don“t like much to practice with someone watching

Well, in couple of days, the workers are gonna put the floor on the concrete around the pool outside in the back of our house, so when that finishes, ill go buy linoleum, and spread it there, and ill start practicing, for real, ill be able to practice other stuff than freezes, cuzz ill have enough space, so i suggest you find a place in your back yard with a little concrete, big enough to fit u atleast, and put a linoleum floor there, and practice, or just put it n your garage...heres the pic where ill put the lino floor to practice :
I just hope my father wont put alot of chairs n tables so i have a little of space lol

Can n e1 mention a place that I might have ignored or something? Cause I have only 1 place in part-time, and my sister, whose room is directly underneath gets a little angry sometimes. It would really help.

the sidewalk, driveways, tennis courts, park pavillians, carpet. If its flat, you can practice on it, if your a newb you may be thinking, hey, i have to do it on Lino, hardword, or whatever, but you dont get over that media factor.

im not a fan of people watching that much either, but if you look you will find places, i found another spot last week between a car parking garage that people dont usually use and a back of a building, and there is a side walk in between, people could see if they looked in, but what are the chances of that?
Plus by doing it on the cement or whatever, it makes you work on your footwork/non spin moves, which are essential to Bboying. Or you could always just find a few spots around town with enough room to lay down your lino or whatever, be it a church parking lot or whatever, and there is also another cool vibe that goes with being outside on a sidewalk, parking lot, park even if no one sees ya, cuz you feel like your kicking it old school or something. I just need to find a place thats semi close by that has graffiti and practice there, itd make it that much cooler.
If your not in the backlands of Idaho or something like that, if you look hard enough you'll find a spot, even if its in back of a store (honestly how many people actually go behing there?)
