how to do a one handed handstand - 12-19-2004, 03:25 PM

i finaly mastered my normal handstand for 20 seconds and now i want to learn one handed handstand i just wanted to know if you guys have any advice one them.

do you guys start with a normal handstand thand take one hand of the ground ?

or you just go right away on one hand

Well... im not really good at it cus im still training it too. This is the way I use to train:

In the beginning i was doing a very slow cartwheel. The slower u get, the longer you'll stay at one hand. But that was a few months ago.

I'm training it again now, and im practising against the wall. First lean on both hands, than lean slowly to the left side to lean on your left hand, and pull your right hand away. If you have enough balance, try to kick your legs off the wall.

Thats just my way...

do your 2 handed handstand with your legs open. lean your legs to one side to put more weight on one of your hands. the other hand should start to go on its fingertips. get comfy with that position, and eventually take your other hand off the ground.

hard move. mucho practice.

i'm training them really slowly so not to injure my wrist again.




moves i got


all variations of footwork, toprock, uprock, turtles, helicopter/coffee grinder(1 and 2 handed), skyscraper, (air)chair, planche, kip up, no handed kip up, swipes, front handspring, front tuck, 2 handed air baby, super duper L kick, 1 legged swipes, handglides, crickets, windmills (stabbed), both ways leg hops, scissor kicks, back handsprings/back tucks, flash kicks, double legs, fulls, double fulls, front fulls, kick fulls, pretty much any crazy tumbling pass, and wallflips.

pm me and i'll help u with any of those moves
