How Long does it take for most moves - 09-24-2004, 09:38 AM

How long does it take to get flares, 1990's and 2000's, air flares, and turtles. I've gotten halos, and two different types of mills, and a few other moves that relate to those, for some reason though I'm havin difficulty with those. What's the deal, How long is it supposed to take, I practice about 2 hours a day on specific areas and I train every night on building strenth and flexibility, and balance. How long will it take. Get back to me plz.

Thanks,

As I move to the bass,

I'll keep on Learnin,
Because I can feel where you can only hear it!

well its different for every1, i no of ppl that wernt even bboy and they learnt mills in a cupple days, and bboys that took a few months to get mills. - well i got flares in about a month, same wid mills (different months of course lol) it all really depends on you.
but average i guess...hmmm only a few weeks to get normal mills. i think flares can actually take a bit longer, but again- it really depends on how you progress.

most of them take more then 2 months to learn....but for 90s and such it may take u more months to get more rotations...and for airflares those can take more than a year...

i say....

if you train enough and put in effort and watch vids and try to understand how a move works...

mills- 3 months
flares- 3months after mills
airflares- from 4months to a year (depends on person)
king swipes - 1 month
king flares - 2 months after flares
90's- 2 months
2000's- dunno can't do em don't try
headspin- 1 month
halos- i can't do em but from trying im close and taken about 6 months from my first attempt

if you don't train propally
mills - 6 months
flares - 12 months + + +
-airflares - 2 years
basically double or triple the time from above

but this is fairly sterotypical- everyone is different- i have gotten some moves quicker and some slower then above but i train alot.

good luck

Thanks for the info, I always appreciate any information given to me. Spincycle, I've been able to do a good deal of moves for a while but it was before I started breakin, It was back in martial arts. Which also helped learning some of this new stuff. For me once I study somethin enough then just try, I usually get it. Oh and I bought that 2 disk dvd too. I appreciate all of your help and I'd like for you to keep helping me. Oh and Am I training to much. Some one said 30 min a day is enough but I practice about 3 hours everyday. Let me know.

Peace

Hurricane's guide is right but relates to someone really really shit. I've only been breaking for a few weeks hard out and i've goten most of the shit.

Here's my tips and Facts

I practice

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and maybe sunday for 2 hours.

I do just handstands fucken round than freezes than onto other advance stuff.

Its really all to do with you. I picked up mills in 3 days man so nothing is impossible.

yo no problem man.

just keep in mind though, for battles and shit, if you go to a battle and the next day your sore, that means that you worked harder in your battle then you did in the practice. when you practice, practice until you are just starting to feel sore than stop.
so pretty much, hitting rock bottom, without bottoming out. if you want a guide of how to workout and what to do in your training tell me and i'll get back but just remember that if you battle and the next day you feel sore, you didn't try hard enough in your practice sessions. that is a test to see how much you have to put into your training. when you wake the next day from a battle and your fine, your training is paying off.

Yeah thats true usually I dont feel sore until after practicing, and in battles i just let it flow and stuff ya know. but yeah man i appreciate your help and i am already living my life out that way and training way harder. It works and it should pay off soon for my headspins and freezes. Hoping to hold a headstand for at least 3 minutes so i can start into spins ya know? Aight thanks man thats all though and peace.
