About the Basic Video -
09-27-2003, 06:19 PM
hi, im new here to bboy.org and i totally know nothing about breaking. I've always wanted to learn and since i live in LA in california, there isnt much activities or people to learn from. I passed by bboy.org and you guys seem like a nice community, i spent some time ready most of the newb guides as i can
To be honest, i know NOTHING, nada, zip. I tried reading some guides but for me there pretty confusing to understand all the movements, even the basics from just reading text. Im thinking of ordering the "Basic Step Video" from the "store" section of bboy.org. I was wondering from the people who had actually bought the video, i would like the know the Pros and Cons of the video. ps, some questions im pretty husky, so im guessing i HAVE to loose weight, and be able to hold myself up, but muscle is heavier than fat, so wouldnt that be contradicting since i have to loose weight but still have strength to hold myself up? Can i actually learn just by myself? Thanks for your time, i hope to hear from you guys. -kdub |

trust me the practice alone will be enuff to make u fit and yes you could do it by yourself... we all learn at different paces and yes the basic video is good only if you are a visual learner (i have it) but it didnt help me since i knew everything on it so i just lent it to a friend
My point is whatever floats your boat go get for it! |

cool and thanks, i am a visual learner since i am a newb and dont know anything about the moves yet. i just cant understand the moves from just reading the text and dunno if im doing it right, and since i dont have anyone in CALI in los angeles to practice with. i have to get the vid.
thanks for the help though. ps. i cant even balance myself on 2 arms, if i put em above my chest, my legs would be too heavy, if i put em in front of the stomach my legs would still be too heavy. |
